Clearly an injustice.
Bad Romance wasn't even available on the sites counting for streaming, meanwhile it was getting millions of hits on youtube and the video was clearly relevant, talked about, streamed by the bucket load etc.
Bad Romance deserved #1.

No....."Tik Tok" still deserved #1. "BR" was unfortunate to not be released for streaming, and even then I always specifically remembered Ke$ha being significantly above GaGa in points so streaming or not, "TT" would've still been #1. And please stop. Youtube would ruin the Hot 100 because random **** would get streams for millions upon millions and mess up the chart. YT is too random, and even then people can just sit there and continuously stream a music video. Unlike AOL, Yahoo and (from experience) nobody wants to sit and repeatedly go over their videos.
I guess Vevo could be apart of streaming since labels control it and it's exact, but even then that would still take a lot of extra, unnecessary work.

Also, what is this nonsense about Bad Romance not being available for streaming? It was on the streaming chart at 66 a few weeks ago

It wasn't there when BR had its run at number one on the sales chart.
How about we all just start ignoring the Hot 100 and consider the Nielsen Chart the official US singles chart? What exactly is keeping the Billboard chart so "official" anyways? Is it endorsed by the RIAA or something?
To me, a number one on the Nielsen chart is really equal to being number one in the US. Party in the U.S.A. was number one - it was THE most popular song in the United States. That's undeniable - it sold the most copies for weeks. Likewise, "Imma Be" already is a number one song.

Yes...that won't stop random songs from entering/exiting the chart each week. I never said random old songs, either.

Streaming doesn't have enough weight to make "random" songs get to high chart positions, and if a song did get enough streaming points to get that high - then it wouldn't be random, it would be relevant right? If that many people are watching it on youtube/vevo then it's clearly very popular and deserves a high position on the chart of the USA's most popular songs.

I don't think you can be so sure. If you change one small thing it can effect everything else, so you can't assume that if BR had been available on more streaming sites that Tik Tok's streaming would've been exactly the same, BR's would've had been exactly the same, etc.

Regardless of what # Bad Romance peaked @, it was a huge smash and will stay relevant in pop music for years to come.

If Bad Romance was more popular it would have sold more. There hasnt been one week that Tik Tok has been #1 and Bad Romance outsold it. Ya'll gotta think logically

Regardless, in years to come, honestly, which song do you think people will remember more? I mean, come on. Tik Tok is catchy, yes. But honestly, it's just pop trash. It's Dr. Luke's specialty. The one exception of his that has actually stood the test of time, and will continue to do so, is Since U Been Gone.

Songs like Since U Been Gone, 1,2 Step, Forever by Chris Brown, other songs that peaked @ #2 are still pretty remembered today...

As much as I wanted BR to hit #1, some of yall are really trippin. If you guys wanna blame someone for blocking Gaga from the top spot blame Jay-Z because his airplay kept Gaga from #1.
Ke$ha (as annoying as she may be) deserved to be #1 because she was #1 in digital sales for ALMOST EVERY week she topped the Hot 100, with the exception of a few weeks towards the end (which her airplay helped her hold the top spot).
THE ONLY THING SHE BLOCKED GAGA FROM is the #2 position on the Hot 100 because of her streaming. EVER since TT hit #1 it has been ahead of BR in digital sales.

I think what they said was "There hasnt been one week that Tik Tok has been #1 and Bad Romance outsold it."
Those 4 weeks Bad Romance outsold Tik Tok, ESOM was #1. Can we stop the argument already because the facts favor Ke$ha. I love BR and I'm mad it didn't hit #1 but saying it deserved it is opinion, not fact

First off, the weeks "Bad Romance" was #1 in digital sales, "Empire State of Mind" was #1 on Billboard. Jay-Z's airplay was keeping her out.
Jan 16th
#1 Tik Tok 394 + 94 = 488
#2 Bad Romance 303 + 94 = 397
Jan 23rd
#1 TiK ToK 252 + 113 = 365
#2 Bad Romance 196 + 108 = 304
Jan 30th
#1 Tik Tok 244 + 122= 366
#2 Bad Romance 173 + 114 = 287
"Tik Tok" didn't hit #1 til January 2nd, in which it began being the top digital seller. Both the 2nd & 9th, "Bad Romance" was in position #3. Nowhere near Ke$ha. "BR" didn't begin getting literally blocked from #1 behind Ke$ha until the 16th-30th in which each week Ke$ha was SIGNIFICANTLY ahead of GaGa. Streaming points would not have changed anything AT ALL. The only time in February GaGa was directly Ke$ha was 2 weeks ago, because now she's position #5, and at that point "BR" sales were significantly declining.
So stop trying to throw shade at Ke$ha. She deserved #1, rightfully. Streaming points or not, her sales were kicking GaGa's ass because their airplay were the same.
