Madonna, out of all the 80s/90s girls, worked with Babyface the best. THE BEST. Really shows up the garbage on Daydream for the shambolic recordings they are.
Everybody tells me that album is the one that I will simply love. I will finally give in and give it a try. *fires up youtube* :robot:

LOL, I like these type of threads where people can have an intellectual debate and both sides can learn something from so I'll post as long as we have these threads. Janet or Kylie should be next, in keeping with ATRL's discovery of pop legends.
Madonna makes all the other pop stars look like the basic bitches they are. It doesn't matter if they can outdance, outsing her or play 10,000 instruments, they will never be as good an artist as Madonna is. Because Madonna has the power of words, and the power of intelligence.
I feel like Madonna is her own worst enemy now. She should have stopped after Confessions because all the things she has released since then have been garbage. I'm talking about Hard Candy specifically but even the end of Confessions was pretty bad in terms of music videos and single relevance it feels. After Hung Up/Sorry it's like everything kind of went downhill for Madonna's solo career. I personally can't even believe she released Hard Candy it's probably the worst Madonna album because it's not a Madonna album. She completely followed the other chicks with that record. She got hand me downs from Britney, Fergie, Nelly, Gwen, etc. and then made an album of it. It's like seriously? Madonna was the trend setter who made those bitches happen. How can she accept blatant leftovers and follow the trends like she blatantly did with that album? That's not Madonna. It's like she became exactly what she said she wasn't going to be when she made that record. I refuse to use Hard Candy because of that reason alone. It is exactly what Madonna never should have become.
I'm here for Like a Virgin - Ray Of Light, Madonna (85'-99). With minor exceptions for Confessions On A Dancefloor and American Life. The rest can sit out. It hurts my Madonna pride to say that she hooked up with Justin Timberlake and Kanye West and decided to water herself down to being an air headed 20 year old just to get hits. That's just wrong on all accounts. She betrayed herself there.

1 album and 2 new songs from a Greatest Hits…? Wtf?
Oh, and "Celebration" the song disagrees with that sentiment.

I was talking mostly about her over gratuitous use of younger hip-hop/pop male leads that she uses in order for her to gain relevance again in the pop world. I find that to be abysmal because she shouldn't be demeaning herself just to get a hit record. I feel the same way about her artistic degradation as well. She shouldn't have to act like a 25 year old to get a hit either and it seems that's the general direction she went with Hard Candy.
Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Kanye West, Danja, Pharrel, Lil Wayne, etc. were definitely the wrong people/producers/artists to go with the direction for her 2008 sound. She should have progressed further into the dance arena which she made her home for years now. Considering the woman was approaching 50 at the time she recorded Hard Candy the fact that she was saying stuff like "see my booty get down like what" was ridiculous. Those words never should have left her lips.

But sis - Beat Goes On gave us the mean knockback? I still ****s with it on the REGULAR.
Sats, i was waiting for this thread. I've seen your last.fm account lately.
You should start giving a chance to full albums. Bedtime Stories, Confessions On a Dance Floor... judging by your ranking.
Madonna's not just a bunch of songs. To understand and appreciate her greatness you should give a chance to her visuals just as much as her music. Her tours (especially the Blond Ambition, Girlie Show, Reinvention tour & Confessions tour) along with her videography are essencial to really GET into her.
I feel young as hell for saying the only songs I remember from her on the charts was 4 Minutes.
I felt the exact same way a few months ago because let's be honest as black kids we listened to the R&B and Rap and not no damn Madonna. But MediaFire having a buy one get one free sale on Madonna's single collection Celebration. Buy it and get SLAYED !

Why you always talk as if you know everything about Madonna? Clearly you don't know **** if all you do is talk about HC... it seems that's the only album you've heard in full.

He likes Madonna. I like Madonna. We both agree that HC is like... not good.
Hard Candy was a very good album for ***** popping tbh, it gets too much hate. This new album will slay everyone's careers effortlessly though as she's working with William Orbit once again.
