Still not deserving 9 weeks atop the US Hot 100 while 'Gangnam Style' was obviously more successful in every way. Psy was boycotted and 'One More Night' was used for that.
Seems ridiculous but racism could explain why 'We Found Love' is not on that list.
Not that I actually think that but it was massive enough to be on that top, I assume it sold a whole lot more. Is radio a factor? I'm genuinely confused.
The tracking period of IFPI last year was "12 months to November 2011" so I assume that their tracking period now is "12 months to November 2012."
We Found Love was released in September 2011 and started slaying charts during the last quarter of 2011, which of course is included in my hypothetical tracking period.
