This is a load of crap. There a whole culture in Christianity that's obsessed with money and materialism look at some of these televangelist with these huge mansions yachts and expensive cars.

The Pope resigned because he felt he couldn't successfully perform his duties as the leader of the Catholic Church That has nothing to do with the decline in popularity of Catholicism.

OMG the tax exception was put into place in order to prevent Government from using tax methods to destroy the practice of religion. Does anyone who opposes religion even read their school history books?

I'll answer that with another verse from the Bible. Not all people who preach God's Word are true disciples of God. Many are false who only use God's name for their own personal gain.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. If you think so... it is obvious that there are more reasons behind his resignation.
I'm talking about church itself, not only its popularity.
Catholicism is a stagnant system, while science is always evolving, it is only a matter of time until people realize they don't need a knowledge with no rationale saying what they should and shouldn't do.

And it's been prophesied in the Bible that one day the Catholic Church will collapse which will be the beginning of the end of the world. People will turn away from God. Children killing their parents. Countries at war with each other. Basically, the world on its road to self-destruction. So when the Catholic Church falls apart it will also signal the nearing of the fulfillment of that prophecy.

Those who oppose religion need to watch The Mission. It's about how the Jesuits in South America were trying to save the indigenous people from the atheists who were trying to enslave them. It should make you think about how a man without God can have a complete disregard for human dignity just like that dumb girl in the video who believes she has the right to kill her unborn child.

Religion isn't about finding out how to cure cancer, send a man to Mars, discover a new shark species under the ocean; it's about how God our Creator, the reason why we exist in the first place, has revealed himself to us and has given us the purpose of our existence. Everything has a purpose: a chair has a purpose, a clock has a purpose. What is our purpose? To come out of our mothers, eat, crap, sleep, get old and die? That's our purpose. No, that would make us no more than just objects. We are more than just that. Well ,that's what I believe.

I'm a non-practicing Catholic but I still care for the religion and who the pope is. I don't think it will ever die out. If anything, the old cardinals with the conservative views will die out and the church will become more progressive IMO. At least that's what I hope.

I don't oppose religion but you're fooling yourself if you think churches don't get more money than schools especially in lower income areas. It isn't just money from the collection plate that keeps these churches afloat.
