Anyone saying differently is delusional. The other girl groups people are bringing up in the thread are only relevant in their home country, or maybe a couple surrounding countries.

5H is literally GLOBAL. They are slaying in way more countries all around the world.

Except it's not facts. There are multiple girl groups that are overall more successful than Fifth Harmony are and that includes Little Mix. It doesn't matter whether or not they are "global" when they are selling less than other groups.

Sales are more important than charting low in multiple countries. I don't really see how you can call them "the biggest girl group in the world" when they can't even sell 200k of their album in their home country. It just seems a bit silly.

In the US. However, not in the world. Asia has girl groups who sell far and away more records than 5H.

Yeah, their debut didn't sell a lot because it came out months before Worth It put them on the map. They had to work way harder for their success, too, coming 3rd on X-Factor in the US, which wasn't popular, and no previous acts had done well from. LM won X-Factor, which is huge in the UK, and has produced many stars from.

LM have been great at selling albums.....in the UK. Let's see how 5H does with 7/27 domestically, and globally now that they're actually popular.

EDIT: Also, what shelven said below. They're Top 10 in MANY of those countries, across multiple continents. GLOBAL.

But in 5H's list, 31 of them are in the Top 10. In LM's list, 7 are in the Top 10. "Charting" isn't good enough - having Top 10s is good enough. You're making no sense

Little Mix' last album sold over 400K OUTSIDE OF THE UK... Let's see if 7/27 can do that because I don't think Reflection even sold over 150K OUTSIDE OF THE US

They were an unknown group of girls thrown together on a not-so popular show, which got cancelled after 3 seasons.

LM had a bigger advantage/fanbase coming out of X-Factor in the UK, which they won, and has a WAY bigger following.

5H becoming successful is more impressive, and they've had to work harder to build a fanbase, which is why their first album didn't sell that well. Their big hit put them on the map MONTHS after it came out, so the album wasn't hyped, and people were only buying the single.

Their lead has been doing well, and they have much more hype around this album, so this album will obviously do better. I'm not saying this album is going to sell a million copies, because that's difficult for artists to do right now. I will say I'm impressed by LM selling 500K+ in the UK. I think 5H can possibly do 500K in the US by the end of the year, and go platinum with SPS. I also think they will do better in the UK, than LM has done in the US.

We will just have to wait and see.
