She could well be waiting to do a tell all interview close to the album release for extra promo.
Similar to For the Record.

I don't blame her for keeping herself withdrawn, she has different priorities now, most importantly she's a mother! She can't be on the road or in the dance studio 24/7. From 1999-2004 all she did was work work work and look how that turned out?

Sorry, I guess I had that wrong. But I'm glad to hear it. We need more members like that on ATRL. Lately, there have been too many blind stans (of all kinds) starting pointless wars over insane opinions. It's sucking a lot of the fun out of the forum, because it's almost impossible to have proper discussions any more.

i've said it before and I see it again.. I will not purchase this album until we get promo performances and appearances. More so than her walking around the stage or calling up ryan seacrest saying "hey I got this really cool track that you're gonna love"

FAKE ASS STANS!!!! How dare you! You support your artist through thick and thin. Flops,break-ups,falls, horrid performances..etc OBVIOUSLY she is going to do something, have you no faith. Like the album comes out NEXT month, you have more than a month to go and your already bitching and moaning. Nobody in there right mind would release an album with ZERO promo. I mean really.
I see whats really going on. Fake stans are backing out because you think she is going to fail so instead of taking a good ole fashion wig snatching, your backing out before the storm its. Get Real. Her real fans will be there. UGH

I think people need to understand, Britney is not and will never be that same carefree, goofy and lovable girl we all fell in love with years ago. She just dealt with way too much at once and in the process lost her way. Britney allowed people into her life that were bad influences and manipulators, people who essentially damaged Britney's mental and personal state of being. Her trust, belief, and spirit has been broken over recent years. We have seen the world condemn and berate her to the point of a breakdown, a breakdown that was highly covered worldwide with everyone tuning in to watch as if it was a daily soap opera for their enjoyment.
Because of what she experienced in those hard times, she has become more withdrawn, reserved and passive then what she use to be. Her priorities also have shifted to where she's investing more interest and attention in her sons than anything else. We've seen "glimpses" of that old goofy girl we know and love (see "For The Record for examples...like the shopping scene, her impersonating her dad, etc.), it's just not as frequent as we once seen it.

Personally, I'd rather see Britney in her element where she is happy on stage performing, and not in some interview being hounded about her personal life. And I think she hasn't done any promo yet, cause she's still working on the album, and hasn't had much time. She did sit down and do a twitter Q & A. Of course she isn't the same as she used to be, she's grown up... and of course had some really bad years. I do have a feeling this might be her last album, before she retires to be with her family and kids.

Well she's the only one who can be compared to Madonna, as of others are Madonna copycats.

The "bubbly Louisiana gurl" is still there. But after having two kids, a public breakdown and almost 30 years old you just can't ask her to be the same cooky girl she used to be in public. Besides, if you get to catch her documentary "For the record" you can see she's still the same girl. I guess she's just not confident enough yet to show in public. I don't know.
