I don't know how many people see Ursh as a legend and how many don't but there could be way less contention over the issue had he actually carried himself like one post-Here I Stand. Every quick dance track, jumping on as the hook boy for that Kid Ink mess () ... all that cheapened him and yea now he's doing August Alsina numbers instead of at least being able to notch up a couple more Looking 4 Myself's. It's that identity crisis he's been on ever since RvR
I mean Crash is my jam so he can do whatever idc but he dun goofed.
Actually August did 40k first week. I correct myself
It's not surprising, his music has no personality and he became so obsessed with hits after Confessions that he stooped so low to get them (awful dance tracks, hook boy). And at the same time completely lost his core audience. Every rare now and then he would give us a "Twisted" but the interest was not there. He needs to target the Urban AC audience just like the Maxwells.
And honestly, promo wouldn't have done much. There's just no demand. His music has nowadays no personality, it's the typical forgettable song played on Urban.
nnn
Personally I feel Crash is one of his best songs he's done creatively. It's just too boring for people.
But it was a hit in Australia, so that counts for something.
