After a fun weekend with friends, I’m back! Continuing the Top 150 TV Shows here are 80-71. In this batch I’ve got 5 dramas and 5 comedies.
The Top 150 TV Shows: 80-71
80) “Continuum” Showcase
Last Year: 44
This Canadian Sci-fi show has it all. Action, drama, crazy story lines and awesome characters. The second season of this show was just as good, but some of the story lines may have been a little less likeable for my taste. It was hard to get a grasp on who was the real villain and it kind of didn’t matter in the end. It is a time traveling show so anything really can happen haha. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
79) “2 Broke Girls” CBS
Last Year: 34
This show managed to get even raunchier. And that’s hard to top. This season with the addition of the pastry school storyline has helped to keep the show fresh. The diner and those supporting characters weren’t ever completely fleshed out so there really is no real connection to them that would need them to have more screen time. And CBS is going to air this show at 8:00 in April? LOL Good luck airing this in beginning of the family hour lol
78) “In The Flesh” BBC Three
This new take on the Zombie drama was really cool. It wasn’t what you would expect it to be. The show is about a world where people rise from the dead and attack humans. Mankind comes up with a cure, but their bodies remain in the same decay as they are. Some humans are still scared of seeing the returned as alive or even human and discriminate against them. There is also one of the most tragic love story lines I’ve ever seen. Only 3 episodes and will be back for another season. Check this one out.
77) “The Exes” TV Land
Last Year: 75
This TV Land sitcom is hilarious. The cast plays off of each other so well and the humor is perfect. I find myself laughing every episode. The premise is a divorce lawyer helps some of her former clients get back on their feet after their divorces and has them live together. The Christmas episode from last week had a lot of heart too. So glad this show is still going strong.
76) “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” ABC
This show is probably one of the biggest disappointments of the year both for viewers and ABC. It started off with big numbers, but the storyline and lack of a real plot other than being a procedural within the Marvel universe alienated many viewers. The ratings are down big and they need to figure out how to stop the bleeding. I still enjoy the show a lot and will watch the rest of the season. But I hope they keep it consistently good for the remainder.
75) “The Office” NBC
Last Year: 67
The final episodes of the final season were good at bringing back a lot of old feelings and even some older characters. The final episode was different than the rest of the season as there was a time jump but it was done very well. And we got one final That’s What She Said. And everything around that storyline was perfect ;_; Yes I teared up.
74) “Last Man Standing” ABC
Last Year: 65
I love this show despite many people passing it off as a bad comedy. I find myself consistently laughing every episode. It isn’t afraid to poke fun at anything and it all comes back to the family and is heartfelt all around. The characters are hilarious and more people should really be watching this hilarious sitcom.
73) “Being Human US” SyFy
Last Year: 70
The American version of Being Human looks nothing like its British counterpart. The past season had a bunch of new story lines, dealing with a Vampire sickness, Sally dealing with returning to being “human” and falling in love, and an even more complicated werewolf storyline. Next season looks like it’s going to be exciting too. It returns soon. If you like sci-fi and ghost/werewolf/vampire shows, check it out.
72) “Grimm” NBC
Last Year: 38
Grimm is still a fun take on classic stories from when we all were growing up. In season 2, they complicated the storyline more with the “royal” storyline and a pregnancy. I was more excited for the story lines happening right in Portland. That’s where the show is at its best. The storyline continued into Season 3 but it is not as big of a deal so it seems (I still haven’t seen the midseason finale yet so shhh). I like having Juliette now knowing what everyone else knows. It makes her a lot more likeable.
71) “Mom” CBS
Mom is one of my favorite new sitcoms of the season. The standout is Allison Janney. Between Mom, Masters of Sex and The Way Way Back, she is on a roll this year. She is one of the best performers for certain. Everything she does is perfect. But on Mom, she plays a drunk Mother going through AA along with her daughter. And her daughter's teenage daughter is pregnant with a kid so it looks at 3 generations of “mom”. Mom has lots of laughs and is the first of my three favorite new sitcoms of the year.

I gotta keep up now. I’m ready to get to the music soon! The Top 150 TV Shows: 70-61 will be up next!
