P!nk has no impact or whatsoever...although she can have Ms.Germanotta's place all the time.

Stanning is all about living vicariously through your a pop star, and Pink, while successful, doesn't elicit fervent interest among pop music fans. Pink is prettier than Gaga but she's sort of husky and tomboyish while Gaga embraces high fashion and girly things which appeals more to pop fans. Britney and Beyonce also have that appeal. As a result, Pink is always an afterthought, despite her continued success.

so Katy perry just got stans because of her..
voice
I don't see like qualities that would make her so popular, 'cept that she lives sorta of like a carefree life.

She pales in comparison with Brit, Bey, and Gaga. The same goes for Katy and Rihanna despite of their current successes. It's idiotic to state that they're superior to them. Gaga is arguably the weakest link because she debuted in early 2008, but then again she surpassed what most girls did in 5 to 6 years.
"Hold It Against Me" hit #1 in 19 countries and sold over 400,000 copies in its first week in the US alone without Britney doing any promo whatsoever (and during a practically dead season.) She's getting her biggest radio hits ("I Wanna Go" is smashing effortlessly.) Her two half-assed performances got "Femme Fatale" to the top spot. Beyoncé got a #1 album without a hit single. The accolades just keep on coming. "Best Thing I Never Had" is eyeing to become yet another classic for her. Gaga was snatching records left and right with "Born This Way," single/album. She's the biggest pop star out there right now.
However, there's far more to being the biggest pop females than numbers. They're cultural forces. They're always progressing. Always making history. Always making impact. Always inspiring new generations of artists. (Speaking of inspirations, Pink was created as an anti-Britney.)
Since "Missundaztood," her music's been the same. She's just been reheating old material. After a decade, she's still singing about being an underdog, an outcast. Enough is enough. She can say whatever she wants, she's a poptart. She's nothing more but yet another generic pop star. And Pink stans, how can she be an underdog and a member of the Trinity? Get it together!
And I almost chocked when someone here called Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and Adele the new, updated Trinity members.

Aren't most of you Christian's though? Doesn't the Trinity refer to God being the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as one God? I may be vain, but I hate the Biblical and religious references to fricking popstars. Really? I'm not even Christian and it just really pisses in my cheerios to see you guys constantly disrespect your own religion . It's blasphemous.
Anyway, I don't know where the "Trinity" term that ATRL uses is derived from, but what are the criteria? The Biblical Trinity all have the same attributes and power. Beyonce, Britney, and GaGa... not so much.

You beat me to the punch and said everything that I would have. The part that I feel really stands out and tells the story of P!nk's exclusion from "The Trinity" is the part in bold red font.

I would never put her in the group with J. Lo or Avril. Sorry.

The Greatest Hits... So Far!! just touched 2 million copies worldwide.

And let's nawt since both albums are right on GHSF's heels. And don't even speak on single success because it took her how many years just to get 2 number ones?

So what? You're not a huge pop star just when you hit the #1 spot. This conviction is just..

You know what? I don't care about some stans creating an online Trinity and my idol don't being included in that.
It's just so stupid and even if she's the underdog of the music industry and she knows it, she's one of the best performers-touring artist of all time out there.
She doesn't need to put her ass on the camera, wear surprising clothes or collect tons of #1s releasing remixes to prove her talent. Just give her a microphone and she's gonna **** on everyone, even spinning in the air. And that's WHAT BEING AN ARTIST IS.
No shade intended (as you do instead) for every member of the trinity out there.

It's her image. It isn't...show-y/flamboyant enough. If Christina was successful she could be in the trinity, but I can't think of anyone else. Rihanna's image is more sexy, and Katy's more kooky, so they don't fit either.
Singers like them, along with Avril, Kelly and others will prolly never be considered, even if they become hugely successful.

But why doesn't Pink have that many devoted stans? She's been around forever and she keeps cranking out the hits. Pop fans will enjoy a Pink song, but she doesn't give them the "life" that Britney does when she wraps a snake seductively around herself, Beyonce when she stomps ferociously onstage in a leotard, or Gaga when emerges in an extravagant high fashion dress. To them she is - sorry, but I need to quote this again - a "****" spinning in the air.
|
Her devoted fans are from a slightly older generation, while other popular girls appeal to tweens and young teens. More teens and tweens will be up on ATRL "getting life" from and stanning for gaga, britney et al.

Ch GHSF is a Hits compilation. The fact that it sold more than a studio album by a "trinity" member in any season shows how strong the trinity is

Really now? :-/ well maybe if she performs at every awards show there is. Pink did only one performance at AMAs and that's it.
