Agreed, I love the idea of the collection and it really captures the essence of the fall season.
They're actually closing a bunch of stores because they have over-saturated the market and are struggling to compete with Kate Spade and Michael Kors. I agree that a lot of Coach's products are cheaply made and don't nearly exhibit the careful craftsmanship of the other two. Although imo Michael Kors is basic af.
Good.
But MK? Michael Kors makes better quality items than Coach for sure? But it isn't really all that either . MK is on the same line as Marc Jacobs for me
again 2014 is neutrals and basic colors (white, black, brown, grey, maybe an olive army dark green). sportswear like joggers or tennis shoes are big(ish) etc.
nothing too over the top and gaudy is in anymore (not that i actually care, i live for that ****)
accessory wise, boys LOVE their bucket hats. like, LOVE. i'm telling you. you can't throw a cat on a current 2014 college campus without hitting a bucket hat
Liked Balmain but haven't been obsessing over it. Can't really figure out why. Looking forward to Saint Laurent and seeing all the looks that we'll see on male celebrities over and over and over in ~8 months.
Yes! I keep checking style.com religiously for the Saint Laurent collection. So many people have been dragging Hedi to the pits for what he's done with the womenswear, but the menswear has been pretty consistently great.
And I'm obsessed with Balmain. Olivier has had his missteps (Fall 2013 ), but he always wins me over.
