Super Junior
"BONAMANA!"'"
lol this is actually a huge guilty pleasure of mine, I've never been into boy bands like this, let alone when I don't even understand a word of what they're saying. However the beat is impossible to avoid. J/K pop fans would be proud.
Cheryl Cole
"Promise This'"
And here comes the british lady everybody has their eyes on. This song is at the same time spooky, sexy and catchy, I love the chorus and the amazing production they put on it's music video, besides she looks really flawless and her dance routine is insane!
Michael Bublé
"Cry Me A River'"
And now here comes the Jazz master in all his glory. Cry Me A River is definitely not a song designed to be a commercial success but a goody for the ears instead. I love his voice and all the passion he puts in his work, like a piece of art... Ok, ok, I'm day dreaming... xD
Duffy
"Well, Well, Well'"
Another artist from the UK joins my countdown. However even when this was her big chance to comeback it ended up being a boring disappointment. The song is rather annoying and very difficult to get along with. However I gave it a chance and it grew on me a little, just not enough to scratch my top 100.
Lady Antebellum
"Hello World"
And this is the proof that no matter how simple your song is you can still make a great video out of it if you put enough feeling and creativity. After 5 singles this was the one that made me finally listen to the whole album. A very emotional song that quickly became one of my favorites.
Ellie Goulding
"Starry Eyed'"
This is the song that made me listen to Ellie. At first I was like "What is this? Too sweet" but it's so damn catchy it was stuck in my head for days. Besides her sweet voice actually makes you think about stars! lol. I really wanna ask her out for a date lol.
Robbie Williams feat. Gary Barlow
"Shame'"
Guys you gotta love this song, it's so honest it makes me wanna dedicate it. I never really liked any of Robbie's previous singles but this one is very special cause it makes me remember certain issues I still have with old friends of mine. Anyway the video is so damn gay, I wish it was a little less explicit.
Scouting For Girls
"Don't Wanna Leave You (Silly Song)'"
Well these guys are one of my favorite discoveries this year. Their music is so my style and their album was great. This is their weakest single and I don't fully agree with it being released cause it's very repetitive, however, it's not that bad, so give it a listen xD.
Mariah Carey
"H.A.T.E.U.'"
Not much to say about this song, cause it doesn't really stand out in anything. It was the last nail in the coffin of the Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel era and Mariah did little to nothing to make it better with that awful cheap music video, Anyway the song is kinda good. I like her vocals as usual.
Kris Allen
"Live Like We're Dying"
A great debut single for Mr. Allen: very good vocals, acceptable music video, clean reputation, everything seemed to be going perfect back in the day, however I still need to find out why his great album flopped like that... But hey! I really hope he doesn't give up and I'll be waiting for the next one! Way to go Kris!
