So yes, for someone like Usher to release an RnB song (A genre he has been doing throughout his career) like climax, it is a risk. That is why NeYo, Kelly R, Chris Brown are releasing Guetta rehashes left right and center. You are dismissed.

It's NOT anyones risk. R&B isn't popular anymore because the few artists in the genre went the Dance Pop route. Beyonce & Justin did not. BOTH of their last albums were heavily R&B influenced and did fine.
Beyonce and Justin have NEVER followed into trends.
Now YOU'RE dismissed.

Britney Spears is Dance/Pop music. Even if Dance music dies out for everyone, it will not die out for Britney. She didn't have to jump on the genre like most of all the artist in the industry years ago, just to get a hit. Britney has been serving dance music(toxic), since before it was popular. Gaga on the other hand had to jump on the trend, wasn't she originally wanting to make a more organic album but after failures to get singed, decided to go with what the trend.
Even Britney is going on R&B for her next album, which is more of a risk. Thank Gaga "re-visiting" dance music.
Don't you know that your toxic?

This is getting off topic, but this shows that you're the one who needs some pop music education. In receipts, to be more specific.

I love the way Gaga makes haters fuming. Only the true queen of pop.

Meh, it's not worth arguing over. We'll see if what she releases will fit people's definition of innovative when it's released.
|
1. How successful would the 4 era be if her lead single was a Calvin Harris collab?
2. The Hot Billboard 100 and the UK Top 40 disagree.
Any questions?

ONE standing ovation in a 7 year career equals captivation?

Rihanna also has 7 grammys which is an achievement in itself. Just like gaga, rihanna is taken seriously by her peers. And the only thing that comes to mind when people think of gaga is her crazy antics. Hardly is her music the focus. Rihanna may not be the songwriter and "dynamic" musician gaga is, but hell, she's respected regardless, which says a lot. I don't get where you're coming from sis.

As long as you believe all of this, lol...

the problem with modern artists is that they’re “afraid to get their hands dirty.”
|
that ego
when did she evolve into this person? I thought if BTW brought her anything it would be humility but it sounds like she is being more pretentious and egotistical than ever. It's a shame, I was excited to hear her "new" music and thought it would come with a better personality than the BTW era

Yes of course because you need to be ATRL-fluent in order to know anything about pop culture.
Anyway, here we go.

Beyoncé did alright. Blue Ivy definitely gave her a boost. But the only reason why Justin was as successful with his RnB eras is because he is white. NeYo and Usher did not want to sell out. But they were slowly flopping despite the quality of material released, and majors are not willing to invest in RnB music. Everything Beyonce had achieved in the 4 era was by her own command, I highly doubt that she got as much financial support in her project as she would have if she was doing dance music. You can now return to your seat where your dismissal had landed you thanks.

Okay, so if gaga had 7 grammys you wouldnt consider that an achievement? if gaga got universal praise for two of her live performances in one night that wouldnt be an achievement? if legends like prince praised gaga wouldnt that mean she was respected?
I mean seriously, come on.

Subtracting points from this short essay for not mentioning the fact that Britney invented dubstep.
