This is the first time this comes out, so we'll have to see what Justin has to say about it. But Iggy has never acknowledged her racism. The only thing she's acknowledged was not knowing that "d*ke" was an offensive word. Why should we assume she's no longer racist just because three years have passed? Yeah it's possible she changed, but there's no evidence of that, so all we have to judge her by is from what's available.

!! Especially when Iggy knew she was slowly getting bigger. More like she decided to hide it better for the sake of her career.
While I'm not one to approve of "but I have a _____ friend!!" I must admit that I find it hard to believe that Bieber would still make jokes like that now, when it seems nearly all his friends are black. Though that's his mom in the video, right? It's also hard to believe that people stop thinking like that when their parents bring them up to make such jokes

Exactly. Anyone defending this behavior is most likely a undercover racist themselves. I can't with ATRL'ers and their ignorant logic.
"I hear white kids saying black jokes all the time, so it's okay." AND?
"The only reason y'all are mad is because black people are the only ones allowed to say the N-word." SO?
Does this need to turn into an ATRL history lesson? Because clearly half of these people have never paid attention to what little the public school curriculum covers over racist history and background.

I don't even know how to feel about the excuses being made for something that's wrong without question. Racial slurs are not jokes to the targets. You may not be the target, but to downplay or wave off the offensiveness is disgusting. I suppose people will never get it unless the shoe is on the other foot. Just imagine Justin had been speaking about your mother or someone you love and said, "run, dirty, trashy b****, b****, b****, b****, b****." Would it be funny then? Would you take kindly to people saying you shouldn't overreact?

Especially when Iggy's tweets were way more vile, she's had lyrics about being a SLAVE MASTER, also seems to be homophobic, and most recently used the derogatory term "retarded" in Fancy. Don't use this thread to defend that ****.

I'm not defending ****, I'm saying that using the excuse of "this happened years ago so it's not a big deal" shouldn't apply to just one person. I was pointing out the double standard on HERE, not trying to justify a ****ing thing about what iggy azalea said.

I worded what I said incorrectly. I meant that kids in my college use jokes like that and it's completely fine and people laugh at it, but because Justin has this star power people give him complete **** for me. I mean there's been so many god damn racist jokes on here that people get away with, ch..
He was also recorded for no reason saying these things, which is a mere coincidence since the video started at he was making 'racist' jokes.

White people who hate Bieber seem more upset about this than black people do.
Ironically, the same people were defending Donald Sterling.

well the many throughout the world who are responding to this tidbit of news. What do you mean you don't understand why the word is given so much power???
It has a dark history behind it that has been used to degrade/mock and oppress us. In a society where we are still seen as unequal and heavily negatively stereotyped that wor dis always a itter reminder. Also a lot of people who use that so called slur we shouldn't give power to is usually a gate way to more racist feelings being expressed in many situations

So you heard some ppl use it doesn't make it okay . However since you wanna talk about context when someone jokes about a slur (thatapplies to you) or directs it towards you in a joking way. I betta see NO complaining from you or the ppl defending him.

And that makes it okay? What kind of stupid logic? Just because you, Uncle Tom, hear white people saying racist jokes around you doesn't mean it's okay. You don't speak for every black person. Close your laptop and take a walk, PLEASE.
