The song choice would be Jimmy. It's from her second album, Kala, and was one of her first songs that mixed her Hindi/Sri Lankan heritage with her dance/hip hop styles. In the video, she mixes the dances of the thousand-hand bodhisattva in some parts with a modern, mainstream look in other parts of the video.
This song peaked at 49 in Greece, 66 in the UK, and 6 in Australia's bubbling under chart.
For the picture, I have to choose a recent one, here she is being a 40 year old GODDESS

AVRIL LAVIGNE - INNOCENCE
Avril Lavigne obviously poured her feelings into this song. Very mature and original, one of the best songs I've ever heard from her. The lyrics are remarkably so touching, and her wonderful voice truly does justice to the symphony. Innocence makes us remember the wonderful feeling of being naive and the fun memories from the past and it brings us bittersweet feeling because we want to go back to that phase of innocence but we need to face the fact that we need to embrace change as time goes by, that's why this song sets her apart from other artists because she made a song out of a special emotion/feeling. The sincerity and raw emotion are all evident in this song and that's one of Avril Lavigne's strengths an an artist.
Photo
A picture of her showing how beautiful she is even if she's 30 years old already when she took this photo. It slays so much because how many of your faves can still manage to look so young and fresh like Avril when they reached this age? Plus, this picture totally magnifies the song I've chosen as well for this round. She looks so innocent and pure in this photo. Truly a queen!
Champagne Kisses is maybe one of Jessie's most pop songs. It was my choice because I thought that it blends very well pop & soul, two genres that Jessie masters. Jessie's most songs are more of a combination of R&B & Soul, with a very good melody, but I wanted to show that she's good at more than that.
Dido is one of those singers that really needs no presentation. Her voice and tone are unique and she completely owned the 2000s with her breakthrough and sophomore album that ended up selling almost 40 million copies worldwide. For this 'presentation' round I knew I had to come up with something great and take no risks. You're probably familiar with "Life For Rent".
To be honest, you only need to have a look at the lyrics to understand why I chose it and why it stands out. No other would have this type of writting abilities. In this song, Dido talks about her life and how she is not connected to anything: "'Cause nothing that I have is truly mine", she says. She is aware that she needs to change her lifestyle and enjoy her life more, take risks and she gives that advise to the listener as well: find the passion in your life and set your goals.
The lyrics are enough to describe the song but have you noticed how smooth everything is? Her vocals have always been calm and smooth but the song gives you hope, if you're struggling, with all those instrumental elements (electronic, folk, acoustic). "Life For Rent" is a great song to summarize Dido as an artist.
2. The Picture
Dido is not one of those girls that really slay photoshoots. Just like her music, she keeps it cool, smooth and classy. I love this picture, not only because I lov her blue eyes and her blonde hair but the outfit is brilliant. I think she looks beautiful.

Despite having major label backing and connections to big writing/production names in the industry, Marina wrote all of the songs on her newest album, FROOT, (as well as a majority of the songs from her first two albums) by herself. I think the song 'FROOT' is the best song to showcase Marina's amazing songwriting skills. The lyrics are so clever and unique while still being catchy. She knows how to craft the perfect pop song.
Queen!

COLETTE CARR
(Full sized image can be found here.)
Colette made a name for herself during a concert for rapper The Game. He invited anyone up on the stage who felt they could deliver a great freestyle, and Colette took a shot. She wowed everyone in the audience, including prominent producers in the industry.
From there she scored a record deal and released her debut album "Skitszo" in July of 2013, featuring collaborations with Porcelain Black, Frankmuzik, & YG.
Colette rides the line between pop and hip-hop, effortlessly integrating the two genres into almost every song she releases. F16 is among her best, and showcases her ability to ride the beat, throwing out lyrics with speed and clarity, unlike another white female rapper whom we're all familiar with.

This song is a perfect representation of Sky's artistry and persona. Its edgy and adventurous but still rooted in contemporary pop notes. At the same time, it's appropriately dancey and catchy, sure to get stuck in your head so you can bop along, especially that big chorus. The technicolour video highlights the '80s tones and complements the song very well, as well as her own personal style.
Sky is stunning, and also works as a model. Her best shoots always accentuate her edgy sense of style and her attitude. This ties in to the retro theme with her song up above, but also has a fresh modern flair. The hair, lipstick & sunglasses are a perfect representation of her strong, bold persona - appropriately funky yet still very trendy.

Lana Del Rey
1) A song that makes Lana Unique
Born To Die
You know from the first second you listen to a Lana Del Rey song, that it's Lana Del Rey. Her voice is unique, no one else has anything like it. Her spirit and emotions are so dark, yet captivating. Her lyrics are cynical, but are very wise and rhyme well. This is one of Lana's signature songs, and it captures that unique-ness extremely well.
2) A picture of Lana that slays
This whole photoshoot slayed me, the end.

Colbie's songs are usually about self-empowerment, that's why I chose "Try" for Round 1. Lyrically, she was feeling pressure to be someone she was not, however its message turned into self-worth aimed at women. Her soft vocals makes the song more uplifting. The minimal production with the acoustic guitar and piano focuses her singing. In the music video, Colbie wears no make up, showing her natural beauty.
This is a picture of Colbie holding her Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration in 2010. I chose it because she looks confident and happy on the peak of her musical career.

Alexandra Burke
Alexandra is the winner of X Factor UK Season 5 and since then she's smashed records and also flopped within a decent time frame.
She's always been called the UK's answer to Beyonce and I feel like Broken Heels shows that, with the ability to showcase her vocals on an up-tempo catchy Pop track.
The reason I chose this picture of her is because she looks ****ing hot, but her eyes have that next door girl look which makes you think "aw she looks sweet", then you look lower down and she's got that mid-riff out and those sexy toned thighs.
And the bling, don't forget that.

1. Worth It
Worth It may not be Tinashe's most immediately accessible song or a production showcase, but it does showcase what sets her apart as an artist. Worth It is a cut from the most recent of Tinashe's four excellent mixtapes (download all four on datpiff today, she needs the support ) and shows that Tinashe is able to handle the mixtape format as well as release music in more conventional means. The song is also adventurous musically; it takes advantage of using dripping water as a form of percussion, shimmering synths, and a luxurious saxophone solo to creates a lush musical environment for her story telling. Worth It really is a unique piece of work that not many artists would be able to conceivably pull off and showcases all the different elements that one can expect from Tinashe (musical adventurousness, watery imagery, and a certain sense of playfulness).
2.
This picture from the Aquarius photoshoot is one of Tinashe's best. Tinashe looks sexy of course, but there seems to be more to the picture than that. Unlike so many R&B artists that deliberately attempt to arouse and confront with their sexuality, Tinashe looks uninterested; instead, there is a vague sense of mystery to her demeanor, she seems more intent in pondering the mysteries told in that reflective wall than interested in anything immediately in front of her which is vaguely alluring in its own way. I find the picture mysterious, captivating, and sexy in a way not many artists would be able to capture.

This song screams "different" from the rest of Hilary's discography. The sound is very bollywood inspired, and the beat is incredibly catchy. Written about her father's affair, the song was brave to write, and comes off her most critically acclaimed album, "Dignity."
2. A picture that slays
This picture is the definition of slayage. This is everyone's favorite childhood movie, and this moment is the most iconic one in Disney history.

Nicole's voice is angelic and amazing. Clearly the most underated vocalist of our generation. The fact that she is able to perform this live, flawlessly, with a cold is incredible. Not many if any mainstream singers can boast they are able to sing this amazing live. Just listen to that mermaid-like voice she pulls off at the END. How is that not anything but amazing? Nicole Scherzinger is truly the best vocalist of our time. Like Adele? Mariah? Ariana Grande? Beyonce? Nicole will single circles around them!
