I've been meaning to say this for a while, but Bad Girls better not make the Top 10 just because it's new Because it's nowhere near the Top 10 M.I.A. songs.
I agree, I think I was a bit too generous on my rating bc its new.
#19 - 8.0625 - The Turn - Kala - Album Track Highest Score: 10 (Dephira, Navin, man*****)
Lowest Score: 6 (Shape, KoreanDream)
Definition of a 7 tbh. Always thought it was the weakest track besides Come Around on KALA.
I'd be MUCH happier with MPDR making it here than this song. We still haven't reached the part of the rate where you fools start getting things RIGHT.
I dunno, I get why M.I.A. likes Blaqstarr but his productions are always kind of lacking for me. They lack a certain polish or sound of being complete. This is still a bump in the right mood though, I just don't think it particularly fits KALAs mood.
Fun Fact: Dephira gave this song a fifteen. I rounded downE.
Not here for this This song is a jam and a half. It's like the perfect mixture of Donkey Kong Country and indigenous tribes teas. It's so hypnotic and chill at the same time.

I guess one of the singles had to be the first to go, and I'm pretty okay with this being it. It holds a special place in my heart, but it doesn't have the immediacy of many of her singles. In fact, there were a decent chunk of album tracks on Arular that were a bit more single-worthy than this. Still sick though.
Fun Fact: MTV almost gave this song massive, daily promo, but M.I.A. refused to censor the song for them.
4 songs from Arular remain, 2 album tracks and 2 singles:
Bucky Done Gun
Amazon
10 Dollar
Galang.
One of them will bite the dust at #17, all 3 of the rest will make it to the top 10.
This is another song that's fairly unified in its ratings, lots of 8s, including mine. I always thought this song was good but it could use another chorus. It's almost there, but not quite. I wish some of the extra vocals from the Vicki Leekx version were featured.
Fun Fact: This song appears in remixed form on Vicki Leekx, and the beat is identical to the Sleigh Bells song, Treats. This song/meeting M.I.A. is how Sleigh Bells came to prominence.
