If Rihanna or any other popstar would release her song to country and classify it as country it will obviously go #1. Huge pop airplay and digital sales, you know.
And country artists in general are not known for their digital sales.
Anyway, this is nothing against Taylor. I love her & her music. It's about the chart in general. And I wouldn't even have a big problem with it if it was only country airplay. But including pop airplay for a country chart is just wrong, imo.
