IB spent 11 weeks in the top ten (with 2 of those weeks being at #1) and spent a total of 27 weeks on the Hot 100. Definitely a 'quick lil single' when stacked against the behemoths BBP and IGF.

BGDC spent 21 weeks in the top ten despite only reaching #1 for a week, and it went on to spend a total of 48 {?) weeks on the Hot 100 (and that was in 2007-8, way before the streaming era). So I'd say BGDC was in a league in its own but still comparable with E.T. (in terms of longevity). Fancy is most likely comparable, too.

I really hate this "promoting" thing.

That's what an artist is supposed to do, promote their work and more promotion means bigger exposure, which means more people saw it, heard it and know it, even if they like it and bought it or not. That being said, E.T. is s bigger it.

When you put it like that, yeah, BGDC is definitely above Imma Be. S&M was also a fourth single, which would probably be somewhere between BGDC and Imma Be. I'd say Fancy would be above BGDC but below E.T. Bad Blood would be below Fancy.

E.T. > Fancy > Bad Blood > Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal) > S&M > Imma Be

EDIT: How could I forget "Rude Boy"? That's probably between Fancy and Bad Blood.
