White models wearing a black style as a costume (let's be real, that is what it is, they are wigs) for the purpose of an aesthetic is offensive because this is a style that on the daily is criticized on black bodies and celebrated and "creative" on white ones.
It's not a flat out racist act, but it is rooted most certainly in racism and lacks the understanding and support that a true ally would have.
Selling the masses this hairstyle while the people whose culture it actually belongs to are shamed for wearing it is a problem.
this has nothing to do with race, raver culture uses these types of hairstyles all the time. stop with all the appropriation nonsense...
also, i washed about 50% of this collection and ran around my office in karlie's dress the day before she wore it! Also let me know what you think about the denim jacket in look 18, its the only piece of true indigo denim in the collection and i did the wash and highlights at seams! its a one of one piece i did the day before the show.
I don't think any set group of people should be told what to wear and what not to wear... This is the furthest thing from mockery. I will never understand why it's considered so unbelievably racist for a Caucasian women to wear dreadlocks...it's 2016 for God's sake.

SJW will go off about litterally anything.
I have to agree with you here. I've never really understood the uproar of so called 'culture appropriation'. Perhaps I'm just ignorant to the issue but I don't see how this is a problem as long as they are not disrespecting the culture in any way. I do think however that his follow up comments are out of line.

What did I just read!? everybody getting pressed over an hairstyle.
Kim, there's people that are dying!
But people of color straighten their hair because white people tell them it's ugly. The nerve of this rich white homo
Normally I wouldnt get mad at people wearing dreads, it's their life and their hair. He should have just not said anything. Maybe say that he likes the hair, to him it's just hair and he's always liked that style.
Well he could start by not dismissing the argument. Saying "I don't see race" is pretending that people are treated equally to begin with and erases how people are treated based on their race.
He may not be a racist but he's profiting off of a culture that has been told repeatedly that this hairstyle inferior and unprofessional. A simple, analogy would be someone copying your HW and they get an A , while you get D. Its not unreasonable to find it unfair or even resent the other person's success when you know you can't attain that as well.
He actually used different models from different ethnics.
Which is actually very tasteful. SJW's claim "Oh but when a POC has braids it's ugly, when whites do it, it's beautiful" yet he's literally using the same hairstyles on POC, which basically ruins that argument.
Which is the only argument you ever hear. Infact, he's recognizing it looks good no matter who you are, which is what SJW's are fighting for So uneducated.
Unless SJW's are arguing that is is ugly, and shouldn't be beautiful no matter who wears it, which is really dim.

My grandfather (pure African American) pretty much says that "cultural appropriation" is often used as an excuse for being exclusive, rather than a reason for change, and he's right.

So you ask them to "educate you" on the topic (first mistake - you dont deserve ANYONE's time) then you simply laugh it off when they have explained it. Why make them waste their time in the first place if you already had your preconceived ideas anywhere?
He's gross but this comment, literally saying he doesn't care what race you are. Some of you over-sensitive people will just NEVER be pleased Getting triggered by everything and anything
