The reason acclaim is included because quality of music has to be recognized along with respect from the industry. Britney sold more than Aretha Franklin in her career, but Aretha's music is more respected, more quality and definitely more cultural impact on each generation. Again, which is why 21 is light years ahead of the other eras.

20M singles for the BTW era Try 30M. So that's only 2x in that dept. but in tours Gaga wins by 3x. They're tied in album sales (not enough of a gap to matter) and the tie breaker is acclaim. Album of the Year nom for BTW + a 71 on metacritic so she wins.

That's 3x in singles
Gaga wins 3x in touring
Katy wins in album sales AND catalog sales (BTW has sold 150k in the US in 3 years)

The last time BTW charted in any country in the world was in 2012, this just proves how front loaded and forgotten it is compared to TD.

TD is definitely in the Top 3/4 biggest eras by a pop girl this decade.
