Anyways, the first video wasn't shady at all, and in fact it was nice to hear that she was flattered by the comparisons. However you could tell she was using a great deal of self restraint even in wording, "SOMETIMES its well done"

The second video, where Madonna calls Gaga's work reductive of her own earlier work is hard to watch. Madonna should know better than feed tabloid fodder.

I think it's possible that she could attain that level of status; however, she's certainly not there yet.

People are just jumping the gun.

However, it is clear to me that at the moment there is no other artist that is ready-made to be an Icon like the aforementioned. Gaga has something that many other artists today simply cannot replicate. The fact that some of her contemporaries have even attempted to take an individual spin on Gaga's eccentric style proves just that.

Gaga is certainly influential to the present day popstars, and will be looked on as an Icon in the future (and especially for the upcoming artists in the next few years).

Whether or not she can ascend from that level or this point in her life has yet to be seen.
