The Essay was just one example i used weeks ago. When Media Outlets talk about the album.. That = Promotion. You Bey stans are looking for anything are saying it's Shade but it's not. It's a fact, her album has had plenty of promotion.

I agree with you, but remember it would be hard to understand (or accept) when you are a Stan of an artist. What Beyonce has accomplished is great, but I could see how you are right.

Beyoncé herself did NOT do any promo for this album prior to or after it's release which is CLEARLY what everyone means by the "no promo" posts. The media was all over it just as they are with all things Beyoncé.

She slaying but you can't say 'No Promo', i remember the iTunes store had 6 different banners promoting the album when it was released.

Of course they were removed, what do you expect? Banners usually last one or two weeks. The point is she didn't have one, she had 6 so millions of people knew about it.

Her songs are also being played on radio, that's promo.

Every major artist has a banner on itunes, the only difference is Beyonce made a deal with itunes, so they gave her more because they were going to make big money from it. Promo yes, but no different than say Katy Perry getting a banner for her singles and album.

People are on about Beyonce doing promo like interviews, radio, TV, not the media being hyped about the album and promoting it.

I won't deny some artists have more promo than others. Beyonce didn't promote but the itunes deal and 6 banners was more effective than Britney doing some interviews for example.

I heard more people talking about Beyonce's surprise album when it was released than ARTPOP or BJ.

That doesn't mean Beyoncé had more promo. That just means people care about Beyoncé more.
