again, this is not a tumblr thing. genderneutrality has been around far longer than tumblr, a lot of cultures use it as well as many other genders outside of he/she.

You don't have to accept it. It's not your mind/body. People should be able to be what ever they want. If they want to be and feel like they're a monkey then who cares? The lgbt community wants to be accepted but anything different or weirder than being gay is a mental illness or stupid? You can say it's not the same thing and yet society proves that to be wrong. People still think being gay is something to be cured and feared and laughed at. You're hypocrites. Gay people want acceptance for their feelings but gender neutrality is wrong! Lame

I would not call them a "xe"  I would tell them to figure out which gender they want to associate with and go with that one.
