Hip hop is probably the most popular type of music with young straight males. But in general the rest of the population don't really like it.
I definitely think hip hop music is the catchiest type of music out there, and its cultural impact, especially over the past 10-15 years is undeniable.
Just to be clear, the art of "rapping" itself isn't hated.
It's hip-hop that's unpopular. Aside from the occasional novelty song, I don't think mainstream society has time for "hoes" and "bitchez" and drugs and beef and bullsh*t "struggles", etc.
