I would like to have an answer to this too. Nobody really explained why they think Britney's music is superior, they're just saying it's better without any argument. A lot of them don't really know Madonna's discography imo.

Bingo. I mean, it can't be her lyrics, voice, instrumentals or personality, so what is it? Does she look good on the album covers or something? Does she possess some secret level of artistry nobody knows about? Does she deal with social issues behind the metaphor of "da clubz"?

Honestly, except Janet Jackson, no other popstars past and present can compare with Madonna's music from the 80's or 90's (partly because music was significantly better during those times) YET Madonna's music has been going downhill since American Life and Britney's Blackout, Circus and Femme Fatale are better than Confessions, Hard Candy & MDNA.

And that is your opinion, dear. I for one can only listen to a few oldies. I don't like rubbish sounding music, and that is my opinion. You can't say old music is better than new music like it's a fact. It's only YOUR opinion and many other old people's who can't adapt new styles of music.

Britney.
I prefer her and her music and I think her discography is more consistent in terms of quality.

I can't vote in this. I have about the same amount of music from both and depending on who I'm in the mood for, that's who I listen to. Quality pop they are.

Madonna's fans tell me why should Britney have her own RoL? Britney is not Madonna, she has her own style. RoL is not definition of good pop music, 'cause pop music is VERY DIFFERENT. Britney has her ITZ and Blackout (that Madonna will never have). You said Britney has meaningless songs? You're absolutely deluded then. Someday, Everytime, Shadow, DLBTLTK, Not yet a girl, Unusual U, When I found you etc etc etc. You should listen to her music first and then express your opinions. Actually I listened all Madge' songs\albums. They have A LOT of fillers. 2 last albums are disaster.

I prefer Britney's music by far. Madonna has about 5 songs that I like... All of the other ones, I can't get into them. Trust me. I've tried. I have her entire discography, but I can't stand her music. Now, Britney?

It's not like those albums are actually impressive, they're generic pop albums, that's it. How are those albums better than Madonna's?
And i can't at Britney fans talking about fillers, honestly. Britney's albums are full of it. And Madonna's last album (which is not her best that's true) had songs like Masterpiece and Falling Free, we can't say the same about Britney's last album
Try again.

Only Britney's first two albums are full of filler and an exception of a handful of gems. Britney's last album Femme Fatale had Hold It Against Me and Till The World Ends. Your point? And In The Zone and Blackout are "generic pop albums"? Try again.

1.Blackout gave the trend to electro-pop. In the zone still sounds fresh and there are no albums that sounds exactly as In the zone. generic? lol no one had that type of music in those times.
2.Is it important? Britney has criminal and trip to your heart on FF. But it doesn't really matter. And though we can say that Britney has strong WW hits from FF and Madonna hasn't.

People say Britney will never have a Ray Of Light because Ray of Light set the standards high for female pop stars. it's not my favorite Madonna album though. Britney is never one for personal statements (besides a few exceptions). It's true

Britney can set her own standards. Blackout set standards for electropop, In the zone gave toxic. etc Madonna will never have her Blackout then (which obv. had changed the music)

Blackout didn't 'set' the trend for electropop, but that doesn't even have anything to do with whose music is better. Yes, Britney can set her own standards, but I'm just saying that RoL is compared constantly because of how good Madonna's work is in general.
Besides, In the Zone is a very Madonna influenced album.

I remember A LOT of people and critics were initially flustered how to categorize this "Blackout" sound back in 2007 on whether it was pop or dance music, before deciding on "electropop". so don't even go there. You are not comparing Madonna with Selena Gomez and that's why y'all can't say " when will she have her own Rol". 'cause she has her own legendary albums (that no one will have) and she has legendary status. f u c k yeah
