But Beyonce said out her own mouth that Aaliyah influenced her. Lol.
Dont argue with me, argue that with her.

What is this supposed to be proving? Bey has also done similar things in her concert with songs like Pop My Trunk -- does she idolize Wine-O, too now? ![too funny](images/smilies/images/smilies/priceless.gif) And what in God's name does their record label audition have to do with Aaliyah?
Obviously Bey liked Aaliyah, enjoyed her music and was affected by her untimely death like many others, but this delusional fixation so many Aaliyah stans have on Bey and determination to revise history and include Aaliyah in some warped version of Bey's narrative is really over the top and ridiculous.
|
How is it revising history? Beyonce was an Aaliyah fan, I honestly dont see the big deal. Y'all just cant deal with the fact that Beyonce looked up to Aaliyah in some ways. Beyonce said herself Aaliyah influenced her and that she was a fan. Deal with it and move on.
Beyonce not only gave her a concert tribute, but also gave her props while interviewing her on the red carpet. Dont forget best thing i never had with Aaliyah poster on the wall. Beyonce loved Aaliyah. Why does it bother you girls so much?

I don't even care that Bey liked Aaliyah -- it's obvious she did -- y'all just do the most with these claims of idolization: phantom "quotes" from Bey that you can never seem to produce any direct sources for and turning sweet memorials from Bey into ~influence when there's really nothing reminiscent at all of Aaliyah in Bey's music or visuals and there never has been. The fixation on Bey from so much of Aaliyah's base is really ridiculous; go to virtually any Aaliyah video on YouTube and among the most popular comments is almost always some delusional mess about Bey and even here -- like, leave Bey tf alone and stop projecting onto her, already.

Britney typically released in November/December, so her sales were always split.

My favorite is "if Aaliyah was still alive, no one would talk about Beyoncé" ![skull](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/faces/skull_zpsksni5fmm.gif)
As if Bey wasn't already slaying with DC as shown by the Nielsen receipts in the OP

Beyoncé admired Aaliyah i'm sure. But her influences are Michael, Tina, Janet, Mariah, Diana, Whitney, Stevie, Prince etc etc etc etc......legends with decades of impact. She is a fan and appreciated and honored her in small ways over the years, but she is in no way influenced by her (apart from maybe get on the bus in 1998)

Beyonce loving mj and them has nothing to do with Beyonce's admiration for Aaliyah. That's irrelevant to the main point hun. No one said Aaliyah was Beyonce's biggest or main influence. But it doesnt change the fact that Bey was still a stan and she said herself Aaliyah was an influence, reguardless of mj, whitney, mariah etc.
And yep. It sure was a tribute. They even tried to do the choreography (all though not well).

No one's fixtated on Beyonce. A hive member in this thread came for Aaliyah and I came in to rebute.
And dont even try that logic. Hell, i can go to an aaliyah video and also pull up posts of beyonce stans trolling. Beyonce stans are FAR from saints their damn selves. Where you going with this?
And what sources you need? There's the concert tribute, the clothes rocking, the vma interview, the chapter in the book, the posters on the wall, the actual quote of beyonce saying Aaliyah was an influence, the aanban ripoff in their audition tape. Reciepts are all there. Whether you choose to accept them is your problem. You even just said Beyonce liked her. So why you mad?

Where did I claim Bey stans were saints? I am just saying a good deal of Aaliyah stans are have an issue with projecting and trying to extend Aaliyah's legacy via Bey and it's usually delusional nonsense. The obsessed Aaliyah stan that derailed this thread in the first place is a prime example. But please do find that evidence of the Hive mass trolling Aaliyah videos because going to Aaliyah videos right now within the first 10-15 comments, I'm pretty sure there will be some kind of idiocy about Bey. It's been that way for years and I doubt it's magically stopped this year.
And you've posted repeatedly and I've given my opinion on what you're citing. It doesn't prove anything beyond the fact that Bey liked Aaliyah (duh), enjoyed her music (duh) and said nice things about her after she died. What you're claiming as evidence of some extensive influence Li supposedly had over Bey is reaching hard af when there are no similarities between them. If it helps you sleep better at night thinking random things like dancing to a song or an old label audition that sounds nothing like AANBAN or wearing a t-shirt as a memorial indicate influence, by all means have it, but I don't have to agree. ![@michael.](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/micheal_zps45ccf519.gif)

Again, the finger pointing is late. Both stanbases are a mess, period. Beyonce stans do the same and are far from saints.

No one said Aaliyah inspired Beyonce's career or that Aaliyah was Bey's biggest influence. But the stannage that Beyonce (even her sister) has shown over their careers proves that they were big fans. Beyonce said Aaliyah influenced her. On how big a scale, that's something only Beyonce could answer. But she said it and shown it over her career. You can speak for Bey all you want, but she already spoken & shown the true tea. Reciepts are all laid on the table. Whether you choose to accept it is on you lol.
