Britney I expected around 250-300k ..
For Katy I expected 400k+ or even 500k

Show me your crystal ball. "Applause" itself is not even finished in the United States yet, with 12 weeks in the Top 10. "Born This Way" was out of the Top 50 by its 20th week. I'm sure by the end of the era, a much different picture will be present. The great thing about ARTPOP and its future is that no one can really predict what is going to happen. Will it be similar to Born This Way and plummet down in sales quickly, or will it be similar to The Fame and hold its position for weeks on end? My prediction is something a bit more moderate. It might result in less sales overall, and likely her lowest selling album of her career, but so what? Her career won't be over. She will produce another album, and grow her image from there.
At the end of the day Gaga is still opening with the biggest debut of a female pop act for the year
But question. I see alot of Britney fans in here posting about how she has sold sooo many Cds and is so respected but like I don't understand 15 years 100m+ albums+ tours and this...
