Alicia Keys - Like You'll Never See Me Again
Comments: I got this one to go in my top 20 because I just think this song is really amazing. I think think this is probably one of her best songs ever because the lyrics in this song are so true. Not to mention the video is pretty good and dramatic too!
Lupe Fiasco F/Matthew Santos - Superstar
Comments: One of the best hip songs of the year without a doubt. Lupe again like always is clever with his lyrics and Matthew Santos delivers a nice hook as well.
UGK F/OutKast - International Players Anthem
Comments: That was just great two of the greatest hip hop groups of all time combine to make a classic. With Andre 3000 spitting out great verses as usual delivers a spectacular 1st verse then Pimp C follows with a dynamite verse and then after the chorus put in Bun B comes in delivers a hot verse as well and Big Boi clinches it with a tight verse at the end. In this song Pimp C's legacy will live on forever though.
Jay-Z - Roc Boys (And The Winner Is)
Comments: "L'acheim I wish you all years of success but it's my time. Cheers toast the crime" Yep the Roc Boys in the building tonight with this one this joint was hot from the start. In fact it's my ringtone right now and it's a huge anthem right now around the world and Rolling Stone named it the #1 song of the year. Amazing song I know it's not my #1 song of the year but it came pretty close.
Ne-Yo - Go On Girl
Comments: This is the song that I was waiting for the video for and never got it. It said MTV Jams was going to add it this week but truth is there really is no video out for it yet. However since it was officially released December 4th it cracks my top 100 and might even make it next year too because it is definitely one of my favorites for the Irreplacable cousins. To me perhaps one of the most amazing songs off of Because of You.
Chris Brown - With You
Comments: And here is the other Irreplacable cousin. A song that just barely missed my top 10. One of Chris Brown's most amazing singles if not the most amazing single of his. This song is guaranteed to probably make my list next year too.
Justin Timberlake - LoveStoned/I Think That She Knows
Comments: The first of the many JT songs to make my countdown. I absolutely love this song! I remember when I put this song as one of the best non-singles last year. Good thing it made itself to a single this year. JT picked the best singles off his album and this one is one of his best songs off his album too. I remember when I used to play this over and over again on my i-pod. Good song to get it poppin the clubs.
Snoop Dogg - Sensual Seduction
Comments: This song was supposed to make my top 10 but a late change has been made and I've thought it through. So I put it here but that doesn't mean I don't absolutely love this song because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SONG. I like how he played around with the lyrics and used the voice thing to end up making a realy nice track that reminds you of the good ol disco days. Not to mention the video is off the hook as well.
Fabolous F/Ne-Yo - Make Me Better
Comments: It seems like the best collaboratons of the year all had Ne-Yo on them. That's crazy but that's what Ne-Yo brings to a track with that soulful voice. And Fab he's really been doing his thing this year and he'll probably make my top MCs list (look out for that pretty soon) and might have his album in my top albums as well. Not to mention everytime I was driving to work, school, whatever I'd be singing this song and doing both Ne-Yo's and Fab's parts.
Rihanna and Ne-Yo - Hate That I Love You
Comments: In my opinion. Not only by far the best collaboration of the year but one of the best collaborations of all time between a man and a woman. I wasn't feeling it too much at first but the video helped it grow. And when I realized Ne-Yo's vocals I started to sing those vocals around everywhere heck I was singing it in a grocery store too. What can I say I love to sing good songs
