Right! Most of the times, the hive have zero f*cks to give about something so petty. It's always hilarious when you hear the naysayers try to spin a negative Beyonce story into "OMG! Her fans will be disappointed and devastated", when we could careless about something so trivial.

By the looks of it, the step in the middle was significantly raised. If she was indeed slimming her thighs the space in between would look blurred/pixelated not just raised, because there would have been only a small amount of space available to use to stretch outwards to make her thighs smaller. Thus, it looks more like that space was more or less the same original width, but that they raised up that section, thereby raising the angle of the stair on the left side. My theory for this would be, maybe her butt was hanging down and as things in photos often do, looked weirder than it really is so they lifted it up.
I have experience Photoshopping models and even the most beautiful, skinny, and perfect models require some retouching because if one aspect of the image looks odd, if their body curves weirdly or something (not because they are fat but because of the angle or their position) then it can throw off the entire image.

Exactly, they are just probably trying to avoid her account getting deleted like a certain groupie

And she sure did stand by it, that was an honest statement. I would say, her plastic surgery is more of an obsession with immortality in general as opposed to conforming to beauty standards.
Whether you want to deem them related or not, or choose to ignore the entire femanist front on beauty standards for women (which include ridiculous thigh gaps). It doesn't change the fact that Beyonce is false.
|
lol, no plastic surgery is about beauty standards. Immortality is not created with exterior fixes. But you're right about Madonna not talking about beauty standards. Still, it's not false to campaign against it while still dealing with it.

Why would Beyonce need to photoshop a thigh gap when she has one naturally.

I wouldn't notice if you didn't point it out tbh.
And why does she do that? She really doesn't need to...

Dealing with it by perpetuating it? Interesting use of words.
When one campaigns against hard drug use, do they deal with it by snorting cocaine?

People are failing to realize how Pretty Hurts' message is only made stronger by things like this. People criticized the song by saying things like "It's easy for you to say that Pretty Hurts, you're gorgeous and you fit into the beauty standards". But now it's obvious that Beyoncé says Pretty Hurts because even though she checks all these boxes, humans will always find a fault in themselves and the impossible beauty standards are just that: IMPOSSIBLE. You cannot be perfect in today's society, and if you are something like gaining a few pounds is seen as some travesty (look how pop culture treats beautiful women who gain weight).

So true. She has only middle fingers to give when it comes to public opinion and still wears her **** out. I love ha.

But this picture is how it showed up on her page. It hasn't been edited since.

Yeah, but the thing is, these pics go in circulation once they hit the web, and they are never in the same size or quality( as the original) once this happens.

I didn't mean it like that. I meant dealing with the issue you are campaigning against not dealing with campaigning itself. So if you are a drug user and you are going to schools talking about how drug use is horrible, the fact that you are still recovering from it and not fully clean only serves your point further.
Anyway it's clear you just are here to constantly shade so I'm done in this thread. Beyoncé photoshopped her picture. Boo hoo. None of us are fans of hers because she has a thigh gap so this shouldn't really affect us, nor anyone else. If you're a fan of her's because she talks about overcoming beauty standards then you should be able to relate to the fact that she has these feelings too.
There is no need to salvage her integrity, because she has never, not once claimed that she loves every part of her body. Sorry but she just hasn't.

And don't forget high fashion magazine covers galore and FDA Icon award because of that boyish body. If people weren't so quick to body shame someone, your fave wouldn't feel pressured to do this. What a curse
