And it looks like people who had Pretty for 'months' are likely to have the entire mixtape.. I know it may be uncalled for, but whoever leaked Pretty did a good job... The whole mixtape should have surfaced tbh...

I think she's also insecure that her new music might be compared to something she gave away for free ... I mean her unreleased songs are really solid...

She should be. I love our girl, but she has made some very questionable choices, even Doll Domination has some AMAZING songs that never made the cut.

I still think her biggest mistake was for her and Interscope to not follow up KL sooner. I wish she would have learned from people like Rihanna to keep momentum during those days. I kinda wish the Repackage of Kl never happened and an other album or even EP was released in it's place to have made it sure that Pretty could have been included.

Nicole is just not business savvy.. As Inverted has mentioned before, there are artists who are doing a lot worse than her but they are still releasing music.

But overall I wonder if this is all about being business savvy. I mean there are so many artists out there who actually do something, even inbetween albums just to share material with their fans. Ofcourse a side-effect of it is buzz, which comes in handy for business purposes, but I wonder if she actually enjoys the life in the spotlight. I mean let's count how many times she has said that music is her gift and that she is meant to sing. A recordlabel and management are there for the business, but even those people she seems to push away to actually do nothing in the long run. I really wonder what is holding her back tbh. I mean she easily could have done a cover project and release some 'live acoustic' performances onto her YouTube channel, I mean I am sure she jams from time to time, why not throw your fans a bone of that once in a while? Recording music also isn't limited to a recordlabel. She seems to have all the cards in her own hands when it comes to her recordings for the most part, she was even the person who decided to shelve certain projects.
If she wanted to I feel she easily would be able to create a small EP with some industry friends involved with it.I mean look at the project she participated in for Todrick Hall. I mean that project was tight productionwise and I doubt the costs of the entire project were even 1/10 of the visuals and recordings she usually does. I know I am ranting again and it won't change a thing. But how longer her career goes on, the less sense things make and it also feels like she lost her drive ever since she was forced back to PCD in 2007/2008. She regained that sparkle for the most part during the Killer Love era, but even during the Big Fat Lie era it felt like something was missing in her overall drive.

Who is leaking all these songs though, can HNIN songs be next or are they waiting till 2017 for the 10 year anniversary of the shelving to make our suffering over.
