I'm... not sure Hilary has one. She's never made music to be on-trend or anything.
Think about it:
Metamorphosis - Hilary pretty much originated the teen-pop, actress-turned-singer movement. There was no one like her at that time, but plenty of bad impersonations to come a few years later.
Hilary Duff - She was headed in a more pop/rock direction that wouldn't become popular for a few more months. People like to claim she was following in Avril's footsteps but Hilary's songs were much more relatable and universally written for people of her age. Anyone saying she was copying Ashlee Simpson was WRONG, as Ashlee's debut came out like one month before Hilary's sophomore album. Ashlee also had tighter hooks.
Most Wanted - No one was doing kiddie pop like that and I mean no one.
Dignity - Hilary purposely set off to do a dance-lite record that she wanted to do but wasn't at all on trend at that time.
I hate to say it but her most generic song may have been Gypsy Woman, only because R&B and Hip Hop were dominating the airwaves at that time and the production was clearly made for that reason, BUT the lyrical content was completely different from anything at that time.
Usually when I look at a song to decide if it's generic, I find out if it's melodically similar to other songs out there at the time and if the lyrical content is what everyone else is singing only with a slightly different arrangement of words. I don't see that in Hilary's older music.
