You thought that Rihanna reign would let up? Time to put down the Haterade. RiRi, who’s fresh off the success of her fourth album Rated R, is finishing up her fifth release, with plans in place to debut its first single next week.
Ryan Seacrest will premiere “Only Girl (In the World)” on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 3 a.m. PST/6 a.m. EST.
The dance track sees the Bajan singer linking back up with Norwegian production team Stargate, who produced Rated R’s No. 1 hit “Rude Boy,” as well as “Hate That I Love You” and “Don’t Stop the Music.”
“In less than 10 dayz ima send u sumn special, and ur gonna play it OVER and OVER, like I’m the only girl in the world!” Rihanna tweeted to Seacrest earlier this week.
Her as-yet-untitled album, due in November, is expected to be more upbeat than its darker predecessor. “It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive,” producer Sean Garrett told Rap-Up.com of the record he submitted. “It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo.”
Rihanna wrapped her “Last Girl on Earth” tour last month and is currently in Hawaii shooting her theatrical debut Battleship.

In an interview with Digital Spy, the 25-year-old put rumours of a rivalry with her fellow Barbadian star to rest.
"People want to make us enemies so bad and we just laugh about it because we're like 'I don't get it'," she said. "We are two girls from Barbados who are just so excited about the fact that we come from this small island that so many people didn't even know existed until Rihanna broke out."
She continued: "Now we recently made history where we had two artists from Barbados in the top ten at the same time - and that has never happened ever in history, not even from any country outside the US.
"So we're so excited that our little island is making such great waves, you know. I mean we just love it and we've recently been in the studio together and we just keep laughing like 'Wow, we're rivals but yet we're working together'."
However, Shontelle remained coy when asked what the pair were working on.
"This is where I get to tease you now!" she laughed. "Yeah, recently I've been in the studio with Rihanna and we have some fun stuff that we're working on and we'll definitely be giving you guys some further details at a later date."
She added: "Hopefully that should relax anyone that thinks that we are some sort of rivals."

Pharrell did new stuff for Rihanna
“Thank God we finished that”, says Pharrell. “And…then I’ve also got a couple of other things going on, in art, that I can’t really talk about at the moment. But I definitely have some more art endeavours coming. And when you see it you’ll notice it, because it’s from a grant – I got a grant to back me for it.And then, also the regular stuff. The BBC, Ice Cream [his clothing labels] – we’re doing some amazing things with Timbaland. And then, um, I dunno. I just went in with T.I., just went in with Gucci Mane, Nicky Minaj, uh, Shay’s stuff, Avril Lavigne – all people who wanted to try different things. Ciara, Rihanna…”

Ester Dean and Rihanna are currently cooking up some new tunes for RiRi's fifth studio album. Ester revealed via her Twitter Page that she was working with the mega star.
Apparently the song also features writing by songwriter Tracy Hale (Brandy, Mya, Sisqo) and in a dream world the song will be some sassy, fun and uptempo. Rihanna's yet-to-be-titled fifth album is aimed for a late 2010 release.
