To be fair, they didn't have much of a choice when it came to the final draw. They always wanna start it off with a bang, and the only entries that would've been uptempo enough to do that were Slovenia, Israel, UK, Australia.

UK would scare people away immediately, no way were they gonna let their precious Australia go on first, and that leaves Israel and Slovenia... Both got equally crappy draws tbh.

ETA: Okay, maybe Serbia too, but that starts off slow and is kitsch af - probably would've set the tone of 'hot mess' just like UK.

Trust me when I say Estonia is coming HARD. Patience, Immortality and Supersonic would all go top 5. Modern and fresh-sounding songs that, if well performed, are gonna slay hard. I lowkey hope Patience by I Wear* Experiment goes to the ESC because it's like an updated version of Rändajad

I feel like they'll keep ruining Russia's chances at winning until they do something about the gays. The only reason why the juries gave so much to Sweden last year was because they were tipped as the favorites in the betting odds and they were sure that they'd get huge televotes. Armenia, which is no better than Russia in gay rights, doesn't publicize any repression and hate so they can get away with it. Iveta truly is a dark horse and I can't wait to hear her song.

I don't think they really ruined Polina's chances, if anything they were open to it. #25 in the running order put her in pole position given Sweden drew first half. Had Italy and Russia swapped places in the televoting she would have clinched it.

Italy's 80 point gap was unreachable. I think that even if Italy had opened, they still would've been 1st because Europe was just here for that **** song. Still, I don't understand all the jury love for that Swedish entry. I get it for Latvia, but that song from Sweden was terribly basic.

The jury voting was really unexplainable. A 114 point lead, like... Not even Fairytale or Euphoria got anywhere near Heroes. It's so unlike the juries to vote en masse for one song.

Grande amore was robbed tbh Best song of 2015.

Grande amore is trash, the radios here in Italy refused to play it and it wasn't met with enthusiasm. It's seen as a bad, tacky song by most Italians. But I can see why Europe ate up the stereotypical image of the hairy Italian teens wearing tuxedos.

We're still wondering who voted for it... probably middle aged and older people, all from the south of Italy of course because us Northerns would never. Sanremo is more popular among the oldies than it is amoung the young

1. Barei - "Say Yay!": that tragic accent but apart from that, great voice and catchy song. Production is pretty weak, they need to work on it a bit. The song needs more drums or an EDM breakdown after the chorus. Top 20 max.
2. Electric Nana - "Now": cute song, with a catchy and powerful chorus. Lacks the wow factor, can't see it beyond the top 20.
3. María Isabel - "La vida sólo es una": bookmark me, this would NOT do well at the contest. Qué me quiten lo bailao teas. Totally not catchy.
4. Maverick - "Un mundo más feliz": if Spain was in the semi-final, this song would come last. If they pick it for the Eurovision (they'd never), they have last place on lock. Tragic.
5. Salvador Beltrán - "Días de alegría": hot voice, relaxing song with a summery vibe, I can see it in the top 15.
6. Xuso Jones - "Victorious": I can see it in the top 10, it kinda reminds me of Heroes even though they don't sound alike. It would be better if it was all in English.

In conclusion: Xuso Jones or be ready to flop.

I've also listened to Iceland's songs and they're all pretty boring. All weakly produced, can't even remember one of them... their language is one of the worst for singing so I guess I'll wait and see if they make an English version of the winning song.

I do not agree at all.

Xuso's song is as boring and generic as can be. It would flop harder than Greece in 2014.

I actually really like Maria Isabel's song and coming from the recent Latin music success in Europe with Bailando and El Mismo Sol I think it could actually do kind of well if they added an English verse. Btw do not even compare it to the mess that QMQLB was.

Second contender to me would be Barei.

Definitely a big big NO to Maverick, Xuso or Salvador.

The only thing I head was that Grande amore was really bad during the jury run and I'm guessing the juries didn't trust Latvia to win so they broke to Sweden. I'm still a tad surprised they didn't break towards Russia as the whole thing was jury bait.

Still not surprised by Heroes winning but it still looks odd.
