The Video is coming. The holy savior. Hopefully the pop push (even if it's a little) starts. Overdose still has a bit of a chance to outpeak and outsell Body Party with pop radio, mainstream media and youtube support. One of you queens need to do something crazy on video and let overdose play during it.

I'm so pissed. This is the first time I believed in Ciara since Work feat. Missy Elliott. I wanted to believe so bad. Omg why Ciara why another disappointment. First Blauw the smas that never was never got released and now this. Livin It Up is another song that's gonna be wasted.

Sis it ain't gon happen. It was released, it got some airplay, Ci did absolutely nothing and it flopped. Ain't **** gonna change now, it's not gonna miraculously resurrect itself from the bottom of the Bubbling Under charts.

We may as well join up with the Ashanti fans and reminisce together about the times when our faves were relevant and actually released albums.


I'm so pissed that Ciara/Epic just let the buzz/success from Body Party fade away to nothing. A Grammy nom was probably the only thing that could maybe have saved her, but hell that didn't happen.

She really had potential with this album I bopped to Ciara for several weeks when it came out. Overdose is one of the best songs I've heard in a while. Such a waste.

How many times do I have to say this: Overdose is a POP SINGLE. It was NEVER going to smash Rhythmic or Urban without Pop supporting it more. She needs pop promo and to send the song to pop radio for it to actually "flop" or "smash".

You guys are basically saying if Lorde sent Royals to Urban and it flopped, she should feel bad even though it's clearly a pop song with Urban influences

Well Royals is #11 on urban radio so I'm not sure if that was a good comparison

So in short with the hype of mainstream, urban usually follows....that is for pop song with urban influence. The main format has to support the record 1st b4 anyone else touch it.

But exactly as collin said, If they went with RML, she wouldn't need to promo at all and it would have did fine on Urban. That should have been the plan if they didn't want to even help Overdose. Read My Lips would have did well on Rhythmic and Urban effortlessly. It fits the sound Rhythmic is going for recently and Urban was supporting Ciara no matter what (as you can see from Overdose).
