Of course it won the day - CBS always does!

20/20 6.63 million viewers
Under avareage performance. But then again: why do people still watch these shows except for 20/20???

Friday Night Lights 3.84 million viewers
Dateline 6.07 million viewers
NBC is very disappointing these days. They clearly suck.(well except for tuesday with Biggest Loser)

FOX:
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles 3.65 million viewers
Dollhouse 4.13 miillion viewers
They are holding up quite well. And considering that both shows are sci-fi genre shows they hold up quite well against the mega rated Battlestar Galactica finale that avaraged 2.4 million viewers)

CW:
Everybody Hates Chris 1.59 million viewers
The Game 1.66 million viewers
America’s Next Top Model (R) 1.42 million viewers
The CW is the CW. No need to except miracles from it, especially on Fridays....

CBS usually has the best ratings. That's a fact. Do they have the best shows? Maybe not. That's your own opinion. But, you can't escape from the fact that CBS' ratings are huge. FOX comes in second, and it didn't use to be that way before American Idol, a.k.a. the most watched show in the US since 2003. The CW has the worst ratings of local US channels, but their shows are extremely popular among teens, however they fail to attract a lot of adult and especially senior attention like the others do. ABC and NBC are just extra stations that give a variety of shows to watch. Heroes is one of their top rated shows. It appeals to teens as well as adults, so that's no shocker. The point of the matter is, everyone has their own opinions on what show is the best. I personally think the best show on local television is Family Guy followed by The Simpsons, How I Met Your Mother, American Idol, Big Brother, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Medium, King of the Hill, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and finally Rules of Engagement. The rest I've never seen and don't really care to see or have seen and don't really much care for. The rest of you have different opinions, and I generally respect that. Even though the fact is that FOX has the most watched television show, and CBS has the best average ratings, and FOX and CBS are usually flipping back and forth depending on the night, everyone has their own opinions and you don't have to put people down about theirs.

FOX may have the biggest show in the US, but their others ratings suck. ABC is more consistant and has very well known shows. American Idol is not as huge as it used to be. I think the most successful on is CBS, then ABC, then FOX, NBC and finally The CW.

what will they have when these shows get old and cancelled? NOTHING!
They haven't had a hit series since 2004-5
well the only semi-hit is Samanta Who? but that is heavily dependent on DWTS as a lead-in...
the only well estabilished networks are CBS and FOX(but FOX will also be in trouble after IDOL loses steam, BUT as long as thy have IDOL they can put anything after it and it'll become a hit see House and Fringe)

CSIs season avarages are declining but not as fast as the "hit" shows on ABC and NBS
Grey's used to attract way over 20M a year ago, and LOST used to be around 18M as well.
Look at those shows now: GA at 14M best, and Lost barely pulling in 10M? that's a shame
I do feel sorry for them.

^Grey's def. wasnt at 20 million a year ago.. they were at like 15-16 million

and this year they have been around 13-15 million all season.

and last year Lost was like around 13 million...
