Wait, so are we assuming that POP radio will not play DrIL or are we not giving them enough time to pick it up? I'm a bit confused. I see a few comments stating that POP radio does not play this but I thought this was originally perceived as the urban single. Wouldn't this have to be added and pushed by her label for POP support or are we assuming that POP radio will just start to play it out of the blue?

Pop HAS started playing it. It just hasn't officially been added yet so they're obv still hesitant to play it in heavy rotation, especially with XO still lingering. So we're all just waiting for her label to send it to pop so it can explode.

The fact that this song has spent it's entire run thus far in the top 20 says something. It's been 6 weeks now. If she does some really serious promo this could potentially go #1.

I just feel like "Dark Horse" and "Happy" are the next mega smashes. I love Bey like she my sistuh but I can only see it going #3 at the highest to be honest. I do, however, think that a top 5 ffrom "Drunk in Love" could pave the way for "Pretty Hurts" or "Blow" to be mega smashes later this year. The competition is tough right now. I mean Katy doesn't even have a video out now. The only thing that could put "Drunk in Love" on par with "Dark Horse" is if the video or recreations of her video some how go viral.

Columbia is really bad at handling singles not only with Beyoncé but with pretty much all of their artists.
They still have the 90s mentality I think

DIL should have been the lead. And could have left XO as a second. Maybe they did this cus B's pop songs use to take a long time to pick up but they need to understand it's not 2005 anymore. We are with the iTunes age.
