All That is one of the better songs on the album for me. I feel strange about that though because I usually hate the overpraised Dev Hynes songs (Tinashe's "Bet", Sky's "Embarrassing").

It is. Most of its praise stems from the involvement of Dev Hynes. It's good, but it's probably in my bottom three.

I've also noticed a disturbing pattern in the reviews for All That where the mostly male critics only ever seem to be able to praise a female pop artist's music by reducing her to a producer's puppet (despite the producers themselves often talking up the artist's involvement, as in this case)? I hate when people always try to palm the success in execution of the track onto the producer and not the artist. Um, no.

It's because she carries herself as a serious artist, they fall for her overwhelming mediocrity and accept it as "art", and score accordingly. Nothing but manipulation.
