Maybe we're overestimating Katy ?

Below is just my thought:

S&M and TTWE both has Britney on it, and we know that the Brit has a huge fanbase that willing to purchase multiple copies. Rihanna fanbase is quite huge too, that's why Rih+Brit can hit #1 while Brit+$+Nicki hit #3 only. (no shading intended please)

I admit Katy has gained many new fan this era, but her loyal fanbase isn't huge enough to get the remix to #1. I think the remix will not stay at #1 for long time (or even hit). LFN remix is a complete different story than ET remix. ET remix was the single version but since LFN has a single version too, i guess the remix won't pull a huge number. (no shade to Katy, just my thought)

Actually TTWE remix didnt hit #1 because it's airplay wasn't that big (around 70-80 mil) and Its original version when the Remix was released, I think, it wasnt even top 10 on iTunes! S&M was already at #3 on iTunes and #1 on Radios! Katy is #1 or Radio and her top5 on iTunes! I really think she can get those sales! I wish for a Banner!

i believe she will get #1 on Hot 100. What i wanted to say is the remix won't pull a bug figure or even reaching #1 and stay there.

If she doesn't get #1 on Hot 100 ... i will be so speechless .. the diff between PRA and LFN is so little, i'm sure the remix is able to make up the difference.
