The only vile track for me is This Moment and I don't really love It Takes Two (, the two stargate songs), everything else is at least an 8, better than TD and OOTB IMO

I like her party songs, sorry. And ROAR is her worst song on the album and her worst song since One of the Boys album.

I was torn with Unconditionally to be fair. I decided an 8 at the end because I love Legendary Lovers much more. I've only heard it like 2 times so maybe it'll grow on me. This is only my 2nd FULL listen of the album.

Okay I'm gonna be honest. i think Prism is definitely her best album. It's no masterpiece and there are too many ballads and midtempos which kinda makes the album pretty dull. But hey, there are many great tunes! And the production? OMG! It's so flawless, layered, epic and strong. Even the most generic songs are saved by the amazing production values.

I was severely disappointed with Roar and Dark Horse. Those were pretty bland and random, with some pretty catchy melodies and the 'immature' sound reminiscent of Teenage Dream. But something was off. they were not campy enough, nor mature enough. And pretty generic indeed. Then WOA came around and there was hope. It is a bop despite being a quasi-parody of 90's disco music.

But Prism hides some great reliques. For example, 'Birthday' is one of the best songs in her career. It's fun, campy and ridiculous, but has a very elegant sound. The chorus is incredibly enjoyable and drags your body to the dancefloor from the first second. 'Legendary Lovers' is another cool song with great production values, sinister yet catchy verses and a beautiful and bigger than life chorus.

'This Moment' has such a powerful and impressive production that I can't even...it is indeed a shame that the melody is a bit generic and disappointing. It is yet another decent song. 'Love Me' is another highlight. Once again the production is BEAUTIFUL. Both lyrics and melody live up to the production, leading to a very solid tune that really shines. 'Ghost' has a very nice production and a cool chorus. It never manages to thrill but it's pretty solid.

'This is how we do' reminds me of kesha for some reason (which shouldn't be a bad thing) but doesn't really connect with me. It tries to be fun and enjoyable but it's too generic to really shine. 'International Shine' is another catchy tune, with a big chorus and a fun melody but is never explodes or goes anywhere.

The ballads are pretty boring though. While I do like 'Unconditionally' (what an epic production!) the melody doesn't quite connect with me and I personally thinks she shouts/screams too much. 'By the grace of God' is an awful ballad, while 'Double Rainbow' - while nice if you listen to it separately from the album - is very dull within the context of Prism.

So yeah. There are no solid pop hits in the vein of 'California gurls', 'Hot n' cold', 'teenage dream, 'E.T' or 'Last Friday Night', but the quality - production wise- is miles ahead. The fillers are a lot better than the ones in her previous albums and there is nothing extremely ridiculous that make your ears bleed like 'Pearl' or 'Peacock'.

I am very pleased and surprised. 'Birthday' is my all time favourite song from hers and the production of the entire album is fantastic.
