Why would they cancel the event? it's held EVERY damn year. It's planned months ahead of time, many people found out Whitney passed when they arrived to the pre-Grammy party. Not everyone was aware she passed away. The main reason why Whitney was in L.A. was to attend the party which was held downstairs in the very hotel she was staying in. Family & friends have already said that Whitney would have wanted the party to go on. There was no reason to cancel it. Her death was unexpected and kept quite until word was released to the media. Not everyone knew.

I'm not saying they should have canceled it nor am I saying people should have cried their asses off on the red carpet and not smiled. I just think it should've been a slightly more solemn event. Like you said though not everyone knew so I guess that can be let go. Just wish she got more attention at the Grammys is all basically.

I don't think it was something big it could of been something small like "tell your brother to call" or something like that. I did find it weird that Whitney ignored Brandy and was talking to Monica lol. i wonder what they said. and lmao @ her making Bobbi hug Clive that was so sweet.

Well, at least they reduced I Will Always Love You to 69 cents and a few of her other songs to 99 cents.

But it's still greedy of iTunes to exploit her like that. Whitney will probably be rolling in her grave after she's buried.

What did you expect them to do? It's not like anybody really cared for her - most of these people who released statements released them for the sake of releasing them. The people who were truly affected by Whitney's death weren't at there: her family, her friends, her fans.

Sure, Rihanna was shocked. But what could she possibly do? Wail 'WHITNEEEYYYYYY' in the middle of We Found Love?

Rihanna already stated she was devastated by the death of Whitney, but what could she possibly do? Life goes on. Besides, she can't cancel her performance because she has obligation and responsibility as an artist, but at least she shouted "Grammys make some noise for Whitney!" and showed her respect, while other artists didn't even mentioned her during their performance / speeches.
