Maybe it's just the personal memories I have associated with QOTC, but so many of those songs just hit SO hard for me. I don't quite get that with this album. Maybe I need a little more time. That being said, it's still a really good pop album and I'm still listening a LOT

I reaaaaaaly think the second half is just as strong tbh.

Don't Talk About It - brilliance. The transition from Fire Fade is phenomenal and the message it conveys is like ironic - the melody is flirty and the deliverance is sexy, but the lyrics are obviously desperate and sad, no?

Imaginary friend - lyrically and melodically brilliant once more! She's resorted to imaginary friends due to her feeling isolated and alone within her sexually driven relationship - something I unfortunately relate to, it's sad.

Keep It Simple - anything but! Amazing amazing amazing.

Flashes - BRILLIANCE.

WTF Love Is - amazing delivery, both lyrics and melody.


SO impressed with this album. wow.

After multiple listens this weekend, it's definitely good, but not great. I'm still bummed that there are no highs like "Moments" or "Talking Body". The closest she came is with "Influence" or maybe parts of "Keep It Simple"/"Imaginary Friend". There are a lot of overrated tracks here that have great parts, but aren't cohesively amazing pop songs. Really curious to hear what she comes with on pt. 2 though.

Influence is far from a high to me, it's one of the weakest on the album so it stands no chance against Moments or Talking Godly. Now Flashes, Don't Talk About It and True Disaster can compete with those

QotC has higher highs for me (TWTIA, GL, TM, TTA, Habits...) but has fillers which LW lacks.

Overall, LW is better for me, both excellent records.

The fact Pt II sounds even better
