It hard for the Anglo market to accept Latin artists because our music is completely wild. Just like its hard for me to like country music, for me, its too boring. If English speaking people would understand Spanish fluently, they would appreciate the gem that Shakira is. Not many artists today, write, compose, and produce their own material. Slit of pop girls out there are awesome entertainers, but I wouldn't call them artists. Shakira sees, breathes, bleeds music.
