Damn. It's so crazy how many people have friends or family that know someone who died in the crash. I know of 5 right now and it really shows how big of a number 193 can be
We're such a tiny country, 193 really is a huge number for us.
This here is just the worst
Please if you read the article be aware that it is graphic and is from perspective of the villagers, it’s very detailed so for the respect of some people please don’t read it if you had any relation to the victims http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/mh17...e11ea298f229cd
I can't contain my sadness listening to the story of 2 families literally being wiped out in this accident. This is so sad. What would happen to the students who lost their professor?

Thanks for posting this, it was indeed graphic but very interesting to read and made me look at it from a different angle - I had not thought about the perspective of the villagers before, and how traumatic this is for them as well. It's sad how many people's lives were affected by this, even beyond those who were on the plane.
I heard on 3 different news bulletins today that just minutes before it was shot down MH17 was escorted by military fighter jets. Numerous eye witness reports back this up apparently, anyone got more info on this? http://beforeitsnews.com/politics/20...r-2638330.html
Not Malaysia Airways' route to Kuala Lumpur now flying over Syria, which has been a civil war zone for 3 years already and for which there has been a no-flying advice for over a year cuz they have land-to-air missiles there as well

Are you serious? Is this credible? If so, this airline really needs to be shut down. They have absolutely no care for the safety of their passengers whatsoever.

They traced it through Flight24 or something, which shows the flight path of planes, and that showed their route was over Syria yesterday
Breaking: Black boxes to be handed over to Malaysian officials later tonight and over 200 bodies are on their way to the plane that will take them to the Netherlands

"MH004’s flight plan is in accordance to International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO) approved routes. As per the notice to airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, the Syrian airspace was not subject to restrictions."
