it's because the main X Factor voters are middle aged women, and they cant relate to a sassy black girl unless they have a killer voice like Alexandra Burke.
I hope Steph gets far enough in the competition to at least get a solid record deal, i'd love to hear what she can do, same with Chloe.
Ella only placed 6th yet she was talented/unique enough for Simon to sign her and now she's one of the biggest artists in the UK at the moment while everyone else from that season is nowhere to be found. winning isnt everything, i just like for my favs to make it far enough to be able to leave enough of an impact for a record deal
