Skin color isn't like mixing paint. It's an interesting concept I learned in freshman biology (the only concept I remember) called polygenic inheritance. I think the way it went was: everybody has like 6 skin color traits/genes/whatever (3 from either parent) and there are like 64 different possible combinations that can from any 3 of either parent's 6 traits. How dark you are depends on how many are dominant, I think.
