I don't know...I could see her breaking the 80s with Dan as a producer. Artists like Adele and Beyonce had debut albums with critic reviews in the 60s before they gained increased respect with subsequent albums.

I would definitely agree that Born to Die is an alternative rock album. Sadcore and baroque pop/rock are considered to be forms of alt rock. It also charted as such. And the majority of the rest of Lana's work is undeniably alt rock.

They don't have the best baroque pop/rock or sadcore category I know but it always cracks me up seeing BTD ina rock album category.

I hope they have chosen the right song to be the first single. With the right strategy, she has a great shot for having a hit. If you look at the current top spots on US iTunes, most of the songs are from 2013 and we already have april.
She also better upload it on her YT channel the same day to get the streaming points. Radio probably won't be here for her, but she has the momentum on her side, so who knows?
I don't expect it to be huge, but it would be nice.
