I'm happy with the music video & really enjoy this song but I've thought it was a poor single choice from the moment it was announced. I'm not writing it off as a total failure just yet but I'm not saying I have very much faith in it either. It sounds very dated & I think she needs to quit trying to get hits and just let it happen naturally.
I also have a gut feeling that Demi is going to choose to stay with HWR because she's comfortable with her team which is important for her to feel. I don't put complete blame on them for this era's performance either. MITUSA had the potential to be a big hit but then HA refused to die for a while & when it came time to release it, she had to get her tonsils removed leading to minimal promo opportunities.
I've said this for quite a while, she needs to try releasing a ballad as a single. Skyscraper is her only ballad single but she wasn't nearly as established as she is at this point. She could even try a mid-tempo like "Two Pieces", it would make her stand out rather than blend in with typical pop singles. I think she should try with a ballad lead-single for the next album.
