Has this fully hit any of y'all yet? It feels absolutely SURREAL to me right now. This has exceeded all expectations I had for "B6". Come to think of it.. I don't know what exactly I was expecting. But it sure was not this by any means. Like.. I do know, though, that I hoped she was going to be able to give us something as spectacular as ST, but while I hoped, I didn't necessarily expect her to solely due to the fact that ST was/is just that ****ing good-- you know? But here we are. Another new beginning. Not only weaveless, but completely scalpless. Inept of even a single ounce of critique toward this album. I feel truly blessed. Like legitimately. Not in the "yasss queen I'm not worthy!!!11" kind of way. I genuinely feel like this is a true blessing - a gift - from Beyoncé to us. This album could not have been more personal and welcoming if she tried. She really let all of her walls down and let us all into the deepest, most vulnerable spot of her soul.

The first half of the album (and the visual) left me speechless. Too much excellence to digest on one listen, I'll need to wait a bit. My trinity right now would be Don't Hurt Yourself, 6 Inch and Pray You Catch Me.
I didn't enjoy the second half of the album or the visual equally but it might grow on me.
Overall, she did an incredible job. She experimented more than most mainstream artists would ever dare to and she got very very personal!

Did you not watch the movie? The movie builds from confusion to anger to redemption. The entire album builds UP to that point. It's a proper album in that it has a cohesive story. The forgiveness of Jay-Z is the ending of the story. They left Jay-Z out until the very ending minutes for a reason. Even in the song his face wasn't shown right away. They let it build and they knew what they were doing. I don't agree this had much to do with Bey's parents at all. The message is clear

I hope you learn to love and appreciate it sooner rather than later. She'll be playing it piano on the tour and I suspect that it will be a very personal and intimate moment for both herself as well as the fans.

Did you not get the story of the album at all? It's about rebirth and redemption and forgiveness. He cheated on her early on but she forgave him and they're happy now. It's not that hard to understand.
not gonna point out any usernames, but one very annoying member keeps posting negative things about goddamn EVERY song . . . but look at ya faves. automatically discredits any opinion you can make on song quality, themes, and artistry overall
