I know I've said it before in the Nightride thread but surely Soul Glitch has to be top ten in her discography?? There's just something about it, that perfect dreamy mix of Boss, Stargazing and one or two other songs from her mixtapes. I hope she performs it on tour

Even though I'm enjoying Nightride, I'm still kinda mad RCA basically put Joyride's B sides on a mixtape to hold the fans over while the album is ultimately still as unfinished and unknown as it was in November 2015. She started the era way too early; Aquarius could have pushed out another single or two

She said on Twitter that the reason why her mixtapes aren't on Spotify is because Sony don't own the songs (rights I'm assuming?).

Can't she not put them on Apple Music instead? You don't have to have a major label in order to upload music there.

I don't understand this, even if they are independently owned she should be able to get them Spotify. Even Cupcakke has her mixtapes on all the services and she hasn't been signed

It might be some exclusive distribution deal with Sony when it comes to her official releases; queen might have screwed herself over being perched to get signed

I really hope they just announce the second single soon along with the release date, cover art and tracklist. May just have a complete meltdown if they scrap Superlove and push for a 3rd lead single and we have to wait even longer

That Tinie Tempah song she's featured on was supposed to be released this month apparently (his album comes out early this year) so it's probably the closest we get to a Tinashe single atm.

I hope No Contest gets released as a single tho, it's R&B with crossover potential (especially as Urban is in right now). This could possibly be the one for her too

Sony is only going to put up music they own Aquarius Joyride Night ride Sony owns the rights to those records (they own the master's) The reason the first three mixtapes aren't on itunes is because she doesn't own the rights to them either.She owns the lyrics but the major part the beat is owned by said producer they alone could put it up Tinashe would have to ask for permission to do that and work out splits.

Even though it wouldn't be hard to track down most of those producers and figure out how to split the profits; she'd probably never do it. Shame she has 4 mixtapes that only her core fanbase will ever really know about.

I hear u but it's not that easy to get out of a contract once u sign to a label on the bright side she's not on the shelf.And she is working just the promo could be wayyy better joyride been reworked for better or worst and won't hit itunes til.Sony gets the smash they want which is stupid in these days we live Superlove is dead in the water pretty sure they will release a new single.If it doesn't stick dunno politics.As the producers form the mixtapes that would be a big headache u would be dealing with Mgt ummm numbers may be changed along with diff emails trust me it would be more big run around.

All My Friends was a hit in the UK/Australia, i don't get why they don't track down Snakehips and make more songs with her, or try to mock that sound or something.

Player could of been a hit with more promo, but i didn't see it for Superlove
i would like to see her have moderate success, but if she doesn't break out to some Beyonce/Rihanna pop star status, i won't mind.

I still don't get why they didn't jump upon All My Friends and promoted it globally, she is the main singer of the song anyways, so she easily could have promoted on her own. I think it could have been HUGE.

Superlove actually had C-rotation in the UK, along with Just Say being on B-Rotation. after that Superlove just dissapeared and never caught on again, had she done some promo for both songs, she might would have had two hits there.

That's the main problem of her label/team, they don't try to jump on things when a market shows interest. It's cute they want that big US hit, but why not try to secure the rest of the world, if the oppertunity is there

The Company video is great but based on Twitter the same three issues keep coming back up that everyone can tell is holding her back:

1. Her team
2. Her style
3. Her singles

This video should have been out in October/November instead of hoping for Slumber Party to magically smash instead. On top of cancelling the radio ad dates it just seems strange releasing this now over anything else. The video will bring some attention for awhile but I expect another couple weeks of silence after this unless she drops another video or finally starts teasing Joyride again.

The moves are good but visually she doesn't stand out too much; her styling never has any punch to it. She really needs someone who's going to push her looks to the next level because they're usually nothing memorable.

Trying to go pop too soon was also a big problem. She had potential to really establish an urban fan base with 2 On but really killed that momentum trying to crossover so quickly. She had plenty of potential urban that will remain album cuts while the pop efforts aren't sticking to anyone at all. It's going to be so hard stanning her this year if none of these things change soon
