Going by that, she's still doing all of this for the fame and the money.

Guys, do you really think she doesn't care about charts, money and fame? Do you really think she doesn't care about an underperforming album, flop singles and a not well-received era? Do you really think she's doing it only for her fans? Do you really see her as a serious role model (which is different from seeing her as an inspiration)? Sorry but...a big LOL.

It's also possible she wants to move on from the era not because a few fans see it as a flop, but because the material was so personal and reminds her too much of Lücifer.

But I don't want her to turn into Rihanna and release a full length album every year. An EP would be good, like TFM.

I think she cares A LOT about fame. She clearly wants to make an impact, to have a legacy. She's proud of her commercial success, but you don't need to smash with every single to make an impact. She's already an icon.
I don't know if she cares that much about money, seeing how much money she gives to her family and she puts into her shows.

She's not the sort of artist who can do that. Rihanna is generic pop/RnB but Gaga is preachy and loves to make statements. And people are already saying they're getting sick of Rihanna, imagine what it could do to Gaga if she does adopt that strategy.

I want her to start touring this year, then have some months of break from the tour (let's say from September to February) to promote the new EP/album/re-release and the lead single and then continue the tour in 2013. Then she can disappear for a good couple of years and come back with a full studio album.

The general public clearly isn't sick of Rihanna. Who cares what "people" say?
Gaga is simply a different kind of artist.

Of course she cares about it, which is exactly my point.
But this era is for her fans, because you know she's smart enough to could've make another TF like album. Underperforming singles were to be expected.

Not now, but soon they will be. I've heard a lot of people say she should take a break - they even thought We Found Love was off Loud
Also TTT failed to get #1 in the US again.
If her next EP/album is more generic
it will show she is interested in
keeping her place at the top. If its even more alternative, in time Rihanna or Katy will replace her. And if people are sick of Rihanna by then it will be Katy. And I am not here for Katy doing that...

You don't understand a thing about how Interscope runs its business. Interscope is not here for making artists that can nothing but sell singles. They are here for making artists that will be around for many, many years to come, and that is why they've given Gaga so much damn creative control and freedom over her career.
"Do you really think she doesn't care about an underperforming album, flop singles and a not well-received era?" This era has been well-received, see awards, nominations, and critical acclaim, and the album isn't under-performing, see 5.5m sales in less than a year, so this all goes back to something she doesn't seem to care about, #1 singles. It's easy to get a #1 single. All you have to do is pay for it. That's why they don't matter. If she and Interscope cared about #1 singles, all they would have to do is send radio stations and DJs free merch and music to persuade them since actually using money to pay for air time is illegal.
And yeah, some people do see her as a serious role-model, and LOL at your selfish ass for laughing at people who do.
You can take what you want out of context.

As a whole, this era was not well-received by the general public. When I say it's underperforming I'm not only talking about album sales. Then, I've never said I know how a label exactly runs their artists. We're making our consideration by a pure fan point of view.

Doesn't she mean that she can only argue BJAF is the best when she's drunk?
I like the song, BTW.

I don't think that's something that can be judged. I would argue that it has been very well-received. She has seen good album sales, some of her singles have performed well, she has been popular with nominations and awards. You can't base the general public on the number of people who buy singles or albums. This album earned her the respect of my parents, and of many of my friends. Just yesterday, a friend of mine who once loved Just Dance, Poker Face and Bad Romance, but generally disliked Gaga overall said:
"I don't like any of her stuff that isn't on the new album anymore. It's so basic compared to what she's doing now. I'm just bored of it. I can see myself liking You and I (his favourite) and Marry The Night for a long time."
Also, a whole group of people I know who have always hated Gaga's music love You and I
