And the Glory story arch could've happened without making Buffy her sister. The only reason they did that was to justify Buffy protecting her for filth.

well, duh, she was weak. she was only like 6 months old. and she was the helpless victim for the season so it made sense for her to be weak. is she supposed to be all powerful? then what would be left for Buffy to defend if Dawn could just slay Glory on ha own? but damn, she should've at least gotten some powers. How are you the key to making universes collapse but you can't give a cute energy blast or something every once in a while?
exactly. it wouldn't make sense for Buffy to kill herself over someone she had no connection to. flawless plot hole fill on the writer's part.
& the Glory story arc was epic.
